Insights on GRAPHIC ERA UNIVERSITY

The college is deemed to be University so the curriculum is fully autonomous, so the subjects are modern and up to date. The subjects are relevent in terms of job opportunities which makes it easy for the student to be prepared for the real-world experience. My course is all skill based. Since the world is growing and the demand for IT skills is increasing, which exactly is done to make us prepare for the job. I feel that more real-world experience should be given to the students like giving the insights to use their skills in the real life. The teachers should make the students aware about the job roles and opportunities in the specific subject field. The exams are held twice a semester. Mid-term includes the syllabus of three unit and end-term cover up the whole syllabus. We also have practicals in both the terms and sessional marks are also added which are given based on the assignments, term work and student's performance.

The college provides many placement opportunities to the students. But usually if the student sat for the placement once, they the not given the chance again. Many well known companies like Deollite, zscaler, DE Shaw&Co, PayPal, volvo, CERN, Morgan Stanley, Vyon International, BNY MELLON, Nasdaq visited this year. 1436 UG and 415 PG candidates got placed and the median package offered is INR 7.45 LPA and INR 7.5 LPA, respectively. The highest package this year was 50.91 by google. And the median package is 6 LPA. The average package in bsc IT was 3.4 LPA. 95% students got placed last year. I plan to sit for the placement and pursue masters along with it.

The tuition fee is same for all three years but the total fee vary each year. The fees of final year is a little more as it also includes alumni and degree fees. The complete cost of Bsc IT is around 4.5lc. But you get scholarship and concession as well. The concession available for students are- 1. Education concession- depends on your 12th class percentage. 2. Yearly fee concession- 10% / half-yearly fee concession- 5% 3. Army personnel concession- 5% (only for army wards) 4. Girl child concession- 10% (only for girl child). The college also conduct scholarship program. Many competitions are held in college which includes reward prizes for winners.

The college host graphest anually in the month of may for all the students where well know singers are invited to perform. In winter, student graphest is conducted where the students from all the branch of geu are invited to perform. Along with this, all the festivals are celebrated in the college. Many events are held regulary for the students. Each block has its own library where books of each subject is present. There is also a main library which has a reading place where the books are available for the students and a common area for all the students to study is also present. Each classroom is a smart class. The teachers use the smartboard and the projector for the teaching. Many sports and cultural events are held in the college where students can actively participate. Sports room and sports ground along with a gym is also present for the students. The college also has ncc, nss volunteer group and nss unit. All types of clubs are there for the students. The faculty is very qualified. Most of the teachers are young and pursuing their PhD but they know their subject throughly. The class is interactive and the teachers make sure that the student participation is there. We also have international students as well so the teaching is in english only. But the students can ask the teachers to teach in hindi as well. The teachers are always available to solve the students' doubts and you can approach them without any hesitation.
