Remarks

Good: Atmosphere, Friendly faculties, Semester holidays Bad: Toilets

Entrance Preview

It's a deemed university and I like the atmosphere and infrastructure I took BSC visual communication bcos of my College chairman was in cinema field so that I can get some help in cinema through them and it's worth for my 12th-grade marks. Worth it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It's simply worth my fees and they have got a very good classroom and laboratory for media. A photography studio, dubbing studio and an editing room. Also, they got a video editing room with green mate studio and mini theatre for screening movies for entertainment

Internships Opportunities

No.. Till now I didn't get any internship college faculties told that internships are available at final year

Placement Experience

3.5

Good. I heard that good and top companies are hiring job offers for students in VELS university through campus interview.. My senior friends got placed in the done company through campus interview and they got their job in it. But selection is very minimum and filtered

College Events

3

They are many events which will be conducted by students and management. They will be a department symposium for each and every department in which other college students can interact.. Mainly Vels nakshatra is the huge and big event in the university it will commence on Jan or Feb month once a year

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are OK while comparing to other private universities in Chennai. We can pay semester wise fees so that it will be more useful for middle-class students. They will provide some concession for students who get high marks in 12 grade or in VELS university entrance examination

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah.. There is some scholarship They will provide some concession for students who get high marks in 12 grade or in VELS university entrance examination.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I'm a day scholar. But I heard about the hostel and hostel mess thru my friend. Hostel room is available with AC and separate hostel for boys and girls. Coming to mess the food is worst like every college mess. My hostel friend will avoid hostel food don't know why.

Alumni/Alumna

Personally, I don't know anything about it. But there are some alumni meet every year and I don't know what will happen in it

Exam Structure

There will be a class assessment test every month for students internal marks and a model exam before semester exams. Semester exams will be conducted every 6 months once for every course in the university. Exams will start at a time for every course in the university

Admission

We can directly walk-in admission and get application form and prospectus or we can apply through online. I got direct admission through the application form. I filled it and submitted and they confirmed my admission through a phone call and a letter to my house

Faculty

3.5

Some faculty are friendly like students and some of them are not worthy to teach. I don't know about other departments/courses but in viscom faculties will won't teach completely they spend their time by just talking to students. This is my honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and relevant to current academic and real world needs,it hepls built astrong foundation knowledge especially in my field geography, the syllabus also supports preparation for competitive exams and higher education. Exams are conducted regularly and difficulties level is moderate, which helps in consistent preparation, however adding more practical assessments instead of only theoretical exams would be beneficial Overall the curriculum is good but it can be improved by including updated topics more hands on learning, and modern teaching methods

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are well structured and interesting espcially the social psychology and basic psychology papers. in a semester there are 2 internal exams and they will be at least a month apart from each other. as long as you study your course materials, the exams are pretty easy however otherwise it might be a tough one. the courses are well structured espcially the social and basic psychology. and in some semesters, there will be a reading period where students are encourged to go and read in the Library.. The Curriculum served as a base for Internships and basic understanding but it is required to do masters to get a job in psychology filed
