- I hope that the faculty isn't too strict. Sometimes the faculty will torture you even for a small mistake that you do .
Course Curriculum Overview
The college provides information science and engineering which is an excellent course as it provides a real world opportunity of working in the software field. The college prepares you for the real world. The college can improve their curriculum by diving into the depth of the concepts and using it practically. It can be improved by providing internships which can prepare you for the IT world. There are a total of 3 internal exams followed by a semester exam. The 3 internals are on moderate difficulty while you have to study hard for the semester exam
Placement Experience
The college offers an average placement. You can't expect too much from this college. The average placement is 3-4 lpa and the highest being 9 LPA. A good number of students get placed but you still have to work for it. I won't depend on the college placement, I'm thinking of applying outside the campus which I hope will bring me a good package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for ISE is 1.3 lakhs. As we know that all around India the college fees are increasing. In yenepoya there are many fees to be paid. First 26k upfront for admission and then the tuition fee later once the course starts
Campus Life
As of now there are no clubs in this college. You can choose ncc and nss which are national cadet corps and national social service respectively. But the college does conduct sport events from time to time. You can't expect a social life in this college. there is none. The college conducts 2 main events during the whole year called yen-splash and yen-sambrama.
Admission
i didn't take any entrance exams, but you can write CET exam and come through it. Any one is eligible for the course that they opt for. The minimum percentage requirement is 65% in your 12th board. You have to pay 26k for the admission to be processed which is non refundable which is quite bad.
Faculty
Some of the college's faculty are well educated and they provide very well teaching to the students with detailed concepts and there are some faculty who even though are well educated they might not be really well at explaining their teachings to the student. When in a classroom the faculty make sures to interact with the students. This makes a good faculty-to student ratio and improves the lecture and makes it interesting.
