In the first year, There are total 6 subject offered which are based on Competition exams like NET-JRF, NBHM, GATE etc as well as it is orientated for future research. In the Second year of MSc, Multiple subjects as a combo of 3 elective courses are offered. Main purpose of this multiple subject combo offering is for Primary career choosing in Mathematics.

In this department, Various research internships in different Institutes are offered in vacation times. This department is affiliated with MTTS, NBHM and DST-FIST which gives a student different opportunities for research projects. In summer internship programme of this department Around Rs.5000 per month stipend is offered. This research internships provide the basic idea of research as a future reference. In conclusion, this department of mathematics is for the purpose to give critical mind for Higher mathematics with proper requisite environment.

There are total 120 seats in this department. In which 60 seats which are filled on merit basis. comes under GIA(grant in aid) and remaining seats comes under SF(self finance). For GIA students, Rs. 1530 is per semester fee for Boys and Rs. 750 for Girls. For SF students, Rs. 10,500 is per semester fees for everyone. In this department, Courses are orientated towards competitive exams like NBHM, GATE, NET etc. So, this department could be the bridge for such exams to be cracked. Also, hostel facility is available for University students and its fees is just Rs. 8000 per year for living.

In mathematics department there is NBHM sponsored library as well as there is one of the biggest library of gujarat in this university. Throughout a year, various extracurricular activities are organised in this department. MTTS higher mathematics programmes, National mathematics day celebration, Quiz Competition, Poster Competition, Summer research internship programme, Educational tour etc. Every year, Fresher party, Annual day and Special days are Celebrated. Traditional festivals like Navratri, Ganesh chaturthi, Uttrayan etc. are celebrated joyfully. Various Sports, Its competitions at university level to national levels. There's particular section for sports. In fact, pool, ground and other amenities for sports are Facilitied in this University.

For university students there are separate hostels for boys and girl with different locations. Which are at too reasonable cost with the Fees of Rs. 8000 for a year with clean environment. In men's hostel, there are rooms of 2 students per room with required furniture. Hostel are administrated regularly with proper cleanliness. Men's hostel doesn't have mess. In girl's hostel, mess is available with according charges. For boys, there are many tiffin service available with budget friendly prices. To get admission, student must have cleared graduation in mathematics. There's no entrance exam for this course. It is based on Graduation merit with government reservation policies on GIA seats. After affiliation of seats, there's a an open round for admission if there are vacanct seats.

There are total 12 professor in this department with subject expertise and Research mentorship. In MSc, There are total 120 seats in this department with the proper classrooms. Every professor is student friendly and always ready to answer students queries. Even sometimes, they are approachable after 5 PM.

To get admission in MSc mathematics there is no any entrance test. It is based on merit system of graduation's CGPA. A student must be graduate in mathematics to be eligible for this course. Admission process occurs in miid june to mid july time normally.
