JIIT Review

The only thing which irritates at first is that out college has uniform but you get used to it after a semester and three exams each semester plus lab tests,viva,assignments really makes a hectic schedule Also college does not give any attendance liberty or relaxation if you are in a society or club/hub

According to my rank in jee mains there were few good options left . I wanted to opt ECE because of interest. I had optiona in IP university but many people told that jiit is far better than any other ip college in terms of quality of students and education and even placement

I am in the electronics and communication branch and the coursw for first year is common for every stream then second year onwards core subjects of ece come into existence . The course is difficult in comparison to computer science or biotech . The curriculum is not the best according to the date ....it should be revised and updated

Internship is not provided in our college but there is an option for philosophiae doctor ....many teachers do phd from college and gets placed in college itself as a teacher, combined course of btech mtech is also available

In first year after admission the first event that took place was a flash mob for freshers then came the freshers party. After that comes jyc week which is one full week of extra co curriculars inculding events of every hub and society after that is the annual cultural and tech fest of the college which is the main and the biggest event in the college

Fee structure is around 75,000 per semester and 55,000 per semester foe hostel, in comparison to other private colleges it is not too expensive and not cheap also , but in comparison to state colleges and govt colleges it may seem very expensive to few

No i dont know of any scholorships offered from our college but people pay fees with student loans they took from external banks college does not provide anything . There might be people with some sources or special needs who must have asked for fee deduction but not for general students

Campus life of branch 128 is not happening at all beacuse of the location it is situated ....it has nothing around to go and there is no hostel in that branch so it becomes empty after 5 pm there is no one in and around that area on the other hand campus life of sector 62 branch is good as it has hostel in it . Several activities keeps on taking place like unplugged night , ethnic night, sports meet, techfest, MUNs , debate competition,eobotics competition,seminars and workshops Some labs are old fashioned with old equipments some are good.

Mess food is not as bad as was i have heard from the students of other colleges, there is variety and few of the dishes are really good and other are okayish , food is not too good to keep you happy and not too bad to keep you hungry. Hostel facilities are good , air conditioned rooms, gymnasium, swimming pool, and other sports facilities.

Seniors are very helpful and supportive . Providing notes or advicing what to do in exams like tips and experiences. Friendly in nature and caring . Have not met any alumni.

Exam structure is different from most of the colleges. Most of the colleges have mid sem and end sem exams but our college has three exams in each semester ...which makes a hectic schedule for students . Exams after each month, but this makes one thing easy that is less syllabus is to be covered in one exam.

First we had to fill a separate form on the site of jiit which included information of aur marks in jee mains and 12th and 10th . Then a councelling date was given where according to our ranks the left seats were displayed on screen telling which stream is available. Names were called rank wise and we had to lock a stream available and freeze the wishlist for upgradation. Documents were submitted with fees and we were enrolled

Most of the faculty is phd or master of technology. Some of the faculty is really co-operative and helping and full of knowledge ....its mere luck that you get best of the teachers....some are rigid and rude and have and orthodox way of teaching they dont want to upgrade themself but knowledge wise they are also good.
