Remarks
All in all, LNCT is a great college. It is a place that will develop you into a great person. You just ought to stay concentrated and the college management to is very advanced. The results of studying and pursuing any study course at LNCT will show its results in a long way down the line in your life. You'll see for yourself. Now the college is going full autonomous as it has completed 25 years since it was established. Maybe it will turn into a university. It will continue to be the education sector leader.
Entrance Preview
Because of its outstanding reputation and overall record. It had some very good placement records as well. Hence, I had to opt for this very college instead of any other in the total count of 105 engineering colleges within Bhopal city. Apart from this, the teaching faculty here is outstanding too.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was very static but since 2014 it got changed quite much and became up to the date. As far as the technology is concerned and the advancement in the syllabus with years and years of knowledge and information, this curriculum which I had in the LNCT college (under RGTU university) was very good and up to the mark for studies and knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
I don't have much idea about the internship and other training provided by LNCT as I completed my internship at HCL Technologies Pvt. Ltd., NOIDA.
Placement Experience
Placements are one of the best at my college if we talk about North and Central India. Almost 50-70 companies visit during the placement season on campus and an average number of job offers to count up to 800-1200 in total. One of the best companies which visit LNCT is Amazon, Amdocs, Capgemini etc.
College Events
There are many events and fests which are celebrated in my college. A few are like:- Shrishti 2K18, Triumph 2K18, Sports fest - having name LNCT Engineering Olympics which has a variety of sports and championships ranging from cricket, football, to indoor games and gaming events as well. There are a few cultural fests as well as Carnival's and musical nights. Then there is SRIJAN and there is sports week as well. NSS camps are also one of the various events. Also, RSS week was also organized once.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible. A number of scholarships for religious minorities are also given. Many of my batchmates were availing scholarships up to 20000 per semester as they were under a reserved class(ST/SC). Per year fees are about 65000 to 70000. There is a Fee Weaver scheme too under which wards of parents having a family income less than a particular amount are ought to pay just around 10000 per sem.
Fees and Financial Aid
I know about study scholarship. I know about the SC/ST and other backward classes scholarship. Also about the religious minority scholarship. But, do not have any idea about the loan facility. Also, I never availed any scholarship in my 4 years at LNCT.
Campus Life
The campus life on LNCT is very interesting and full of joy. As I was a hostility in my first year of college. We used to get extra privileges of playing in the ground whenever we wanted. We could watch cricket matches together in the TV recreational room. We could play table tennis and other activities inside the hostel. There were phone recharge shops and also there were too many options on the campus itself. There was a temple too where daily prayers would take place. The gender ratio is very optimum. You won't feel that there are only boys studying in this institute. Talking about diversity, you can find people from all walks of life and from all over India. One of my professors was from IIT Guwahati and ISM Dhanbad too.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel inside LNCT campus is quite good. Although the area of rooms is not very impressive we do get daily cleanliness drives by housekeeping staff and also the almirah and study tables are provided. The mess food is good and the quality of food is also above average. The life in LNCT hostel's outside the campus is also very good.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is quite strong and I recently got an invite for alumni meet of LNCT alumunus. It was happening in Bhopal and Pune and a few more places. I couldn't attend it due to the job I have but I am looking forward to managing my time and attend one such meet. They are surely helpful and wherever we connect, we tend to offer each other positivity and what not.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is very tight. Semester system in lined up after the completion of each and every 4 month or 5-6 month study session. It is rigorous and you need to study very hard in order to excel in them. We usually get very less time between the end of study sessions and the exam start date. Hence, you have to prepare from the well beginning of semester commencement. The exam last around 1-2 weeks. The paper pattern is in the form of questions having marks divided into units. per unit 14 marks. The total paper will comprise of 70 marks.
Admission
Through MP-PET and further counseling. I first locked my colleges as per preference in a stable order on the government website for the counseling process of selection/admission into the state colleges for engineering and further studies. Then after the selection and submission, we got a call from the desired college with the details of their counseling date within a span of time. This is how I was ought to report at the venue which was the college campus. I remember, my admission happened on the July 1st of 2013.
Faculty
The faculty in my college were very well qualified and masters in their respective fields of knowledge and profession. They all were very competitive amongst themselves as well as imparted all the good things to me within that due course of time. They were very helpful also and at times strict as per the environment. I might have studied under about 20-40 professors. And my favorite was Dr. Rita Jain, who was HOD for the Electronics department back then.
