A review on St. Joseph's University by Ruchitha Pandey

The curriculum is well-designed in our college and they have some classes assigned just to mentor students where they can improve their communication, leadership and presentation skills. It actually helped me to face the huge audience. The reason to choose a particular course is because of the teachers and syllabus they have. The exams are conducted after 4/5 months of the course. The teaching method is excellent. However, I want the college to implement more practical knowledge like keeping 6 months internship and teaching practice, teaching corporate-related skills, Microsoft Excel which will benefit the students during their placement.

The fee structure for MCom ( master's of commerce) is above 85000 which includes tuition and library. The management also provided scholarships and mid-day meals to have stomachs full of food. They provide some amount if we have volunteered during elections, or any entrance exam.

The fests that usually take place are open open-heart, Pratibha, visages, WACC, commerce association fest, neerathon, corporate genesis fest. The digital library is introduced in our college where the students can find pervious year question papers, journals, book. They can use library system to do some research for their assignments or PhD studies. All the classroom has the projectors installed in the class where teach can use it to present and show the ppts. The sport team is very good they always go to other states and win the trophy. The students are the coordinator in the association or club who propose the event proposal and make the event as a success. It always helped them to grow well, gave them the confidence to face the challenge and got placed in many organisations because of the experience.

To gain admission is St Joseph's University the candidates must have above 75% in their PUC. The form will be available on St Joseph's University's official website and the candidate has to pay 700/800 for the form. The shortlisted candidates will be sent a mail and link to attend the interview. The interview will be held and the candidate has to answer the questions that the interviewer which is mostly like a technical group. The students who choose another course like BBA or BCA should clear the entrance exam and then they will get shortlisted and they have to attend technical round to clear the interview and get admission. The students who are selected will get a mail. After the mail the student can opt for installment or one time pay option to fee the fees.

Our college faculty should have a PhD and they should have cleared the net exam( national eligibility test). The best of teaching is they don't just lecture they also interact with the students. Sometimes they divided us into small groups and us to come up with creative ideas on a particular topic. They also teach us through games and stories and their presentation skills are excellent. They don't punish us for every small matter but they make us realise our mistakes. They also provide career guidance who really need it where They guide really confused students on what to do next. I interact with my teachers whenever I go to the staff room or whenever I'm confused or I need some guidance. They personally sit and assist and show their concern.
