Likes
- The campus has open gates, it's not very strict compared to others, and also the food in available in the canteen and hostels, the teachers are understanding and always ready to help.
- The exam system of Gitam makes it easy to score they have 70 marks for internals and 30 marks sem end exam, hence it's easier to score and get high cgpa.
Dislikes
- The campus isn't very big, the facilities available are a little old and few of the classrooms are non ac
- The crowd of the gitam is mixed, 50% is good whereas 50% is bad
Course Curriculum Overview
The course which I am studying right now i.e Bcom with ACCA is very relevant right now, as ACCA is a charted accountancy course which is very much in demand right now. They provide us access to the ACCA study materials and also provide us with special classes for ACCA and also integrate ACCA subjects in our regular Bcom class.
Placement Experience
I don't have much idea regarding the placements as I am just a fresher right now, but as per my seniors the minimum package provided to students is of 5 lakh rupees per annum, and you are required to have a minimum of 7.5 cgpa to be able to sit for placements
Fees and Financial Aid
As to scholarship, it is given on the basis of first come first serve, students can avail upto 100% scholarship depending on the availability, as per fee structure, students can pay the fee either semester wise or yearly wise, a late fee charge of 2000 is charged every month after the due date of the fee payment
Campus Life
Honestly the campus life on Gitam University if you are involved in the club activities and everything else is pretty good, you have a lot of clubs to choose from and each club has their own management and budget which they use to conduct events hence why events of various type keep happening very often, but during exam time all the events are brought down to bare minimum in order to let students to focus on their studies, they also give preparatory holidays for exams. Overall it is a balanced experience of studies and enjoyment on campus.
Admission
You can apply for the GAT exam which is the entrance exam for gitam University either through their website or in person at the University, you can then select your slot of exam, after that you are to appear at your centre for writing your GAT exam which is computer based, depending on your score you clear the exam and get your scholarship.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite even, every semester during course registration students get to choose the faculty of their choice, the faculty is very qualified in their subjects, they are quite friendly which makes students comfortable with them and easy to learn from them.
