NIT Warangal

Top college in NITs and also the college was near to my home. The professor's CV was good. The curriculum and other activities are balanced and are changing based on the present era. Its a good campus in the heart of the Warangal city with a good means of transport.

Earlier, the course which I had talked was more a bit of mathematics and was not focussed on the latest computer technology related to data science. But now I heard that the course structure had been changed and many new courses were introduced. They have mainly focussed on the data science related courses and introduced statistics, python, number theory, ...

Yes, they do. And we can also pursue our dreams here by applying for an internship in other research institutes or in IITs. There were many IT companies which visit every year and the stipend varies from 1 to other. If you perform well as an intern there are chances that u may get a preplacement offer from that company.

The mean package for my course was 5LPA. I was a TNP coordinator during my last year of study here. Mostly teaching companies prefer us and pick up many of us. It's tuff to get into an IT but not an impossible game. Few IT companies prefer and give chance to MSc mathematics pupil too.

The most famous and biggest event of South India, TECHNOZION is conducted every year where people from different colleges come here to show their talent related to the latest trends and technologies. The second one is Spring spree fest which is conducted during Feb of every year.

I was a hosteller and the fee structure was good. For the course which I have completed, I had paid around 2lpa which includes my education fee, food and stay, internet usage, library, gym, and many other things. But I think due to new rules and regulations the fee structure may have been changed.

I have got a state scholarship. If ur a merit students the institute provide u gold-medal and also financial support to few of them. Any student pursuing here can make use of educational loan facility from any of the banks.

Campus Life at NIT Warangal is quite enjoyable. Actually, it depends on where have you come from and what are your expectations from your college. Since I hail from a small town and had never seen a college of this status before coming here, the campus looked quite large to me and my parents (though now I feel it's too small when compared to NIT Trichy or IISc). All the new buildings “look” good as far as architectures and facilities are concerned. Admin building is the center of attraction for all the newcomers. 1.8k(1st-year boys hostel) and 1k(3rd and 4th yr boys hostel) are among the tallest buildings. Life in 1.8k is very lavish when compared with the other hostels.

During the first year, I got room to share with my fellow mate. And in the second year, I got a single room. The rooms are good. The facilities provided are not satisfied to meet every person. The only thing is we have to adjust to the college environment and make ourselves move on.

Lakshman Kakkirala, our alumnus is one of the co-founders of Little Eye Labs, the first Indian company to get acquired by Facebook.

Here the way is chilled out and we don't have a hectic schedule if assignments, exams or... We have 2 minors a mid and an end sem examination per semester. Where a sem may end between 4 - 5 months. So on an average, there is 1 schedule of an exam per month.

During my time there was a NITWIT entrance test. Now it was removed and the only intake is through IIT JAM. I have attended NITWET and got a good rank and was called for the counseling process. There we have to submit all our original documents for verification, if those meet their eligibility criteria then u enter into a new era of its life.

Every faculty here is very helpful and the course structure is also well defined. Every professor has a Ph.D. degree in some or other areas. They help u whenever u need them. Some of the courses are well defined and have a scope to open ur mind towards research.
