Because it's the only College that offers this course at Mumbai University. D.Y. PATIL has too high fees for a similar course. Also traveling is less for this college compared to that for another college. The college makes you more open-minded and more confident.

The course structure is really good. They cover even the nutrition part in the syllabus. There are 5 papers 3 units in each and 2 papers for practicals. The topics of practicals are proper. There is starch cookery, sugar cookery etc. The syllabus also covers microbiology, chemistry, basics of food and also the basic part of statistics.

Yes, it does provide internship to the students. The internship is mostly provided in the bakery where food testing is to be done.

The fee structure is feasible according to me.it is 44 thousand rupees approximately. Thus it is inexpensive compared to the similar course offered by Dy Patil. In d. Y. Patil the one year fee is 1.25 lakh. Which is very very very much higher compared to Nirmala Niketan fees.

The campus is very small. The boys to girls ratio are 20 to 80 as the college was girl's college before. There are a lot of vendors outside College and nearby there is sea face. There is burger king and mad over donuts on the other side of the station. It is a few mins walk from the station.

Hostel ambiance is good according to me. The facilities given are also good. The food in mess is average. The warden takes care of every single girl personally. The timing of leaving hostel and coming hostel back is being noted every time. 2 late pass per month is allowed.

The seniors are really very helpful in this college. They guide the juniors really well on upon. Many notes are being given by seniors to juniors

Instead of written internal examination, there are powerpoint presentations for the topics assignments. Exams are held like the regular examinations of Mumbai university. The paper pattern is similar to the Mumbai university paper. With powerpoint presentation, the word file hard copy is also to be submitted.

Online form filled and paid 500 on onfees.com. Gave entrance test. The entrance test had 90 percent of questions from nutrition background. Got selected in first round of merit list. Submitted documents to college and also paid the fees online on onfees.com

The knowledge of faculty is good enough. Microbiology of food is being taught really well. Even food science is taught really good Food chemistry and food biochemistry are also proper. The practical for food are carried out on time and with proper pace.
