My experience at CHARUSAT

Course curriculum is very good and always get updated with time, courses are based on the competitive exams point of view which would be beneficial for students in future. If a student learn by heart the course syllabus then he/she can crack any competitive exams like IIT JAM, GATE, NET, etc. Curriculum is somehow difficult for students those who have not clear understanding of basics. Exams are taken very frequently like after 1 months starting of the semester but that pushes the students to focus on studies.

Placements are given mostly to masters students in our degree because BSc students can't get enough or good amount of salary in india so they don't go for placements and job. Most of the students opt for Masters in Science or Management or Lab technician and after master's degree some go for job and others for PhD. Companies that visit our college are TCS, Sun pharma, Zydus etc.

Fees are less than other private colleges and it also gives Scholarship to EWS students every semester. Fees slightly gets higher when you move to next year. Complete cost of the graduation in Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry was approximately 5 lakhs including tution, message and hostel fees. Scholarships such as MYSY as it is available only in Gujarat because it is given by Gujarat government. Stipend are given to research scholars and PhDs and also to the top 3 students of the class in every semester if they apply for it.

Overall experience of the college was good, as I met some of the best person and now they are like family. People are very friendly and helpful. Infrastructure is very good and facilities are also very good. Extracurricular activities and sports day are celebrated, events such as Science Manthan, Concerts, Tech fest etc. Clubs are also there for students who are willing to participate in drama, singing, music bands, etc. NCC and NSS are also there. Big central library is there where so many books are kept along with Wifi facility inside library.

Admission process was easy, it was done on the basis of 12th marks, whichever board it is like CBSE/ICSE or Any State board doesn't matter. From my point of view, admission should be taken on the basis of atleast interview, then only quality of the students will be obtained. Exam are taken on tablets, the university has started this from past 1 year, the paperless exam for the betterment of environment.

All of the faculties are well established and highly qualified as they are PhD and Post Doctoral Fellow holders from institutions like IIT, IISC and have done research projects in countries like Germany and US. Faculties are very interactive and their way of teaching is like on the top. Teaching is done through powerpoint presentations but the contents are from research papers and highly authorised books.
