Wonderful experience

Overall experience was nice. After all, every place has its ups and downs. During the college, we didn't enjoy much but after coming out from it, I miss it a little. All memories will stay with me until I die.

I found GGSIPU as a very renowned university.

My branch was electronics and communication engineering. This branch is really good and fascinating based on your interest and learning skills and also for the love of circuits and systems. Our college had various societies for the geeks too,one of them was IEEE.

As i mentioned our college had various societies. So there was one society E-Cell which used to arrange internship fairs in our college campus. Various companies and startups used to come there to provide students career based opportunities. Not sure about the general stipend.

There were two types of fests in our college. One was technically named Avensis and another was cultural names, Genesis. These events were held in the winter season. Students used to participate in organising teams for each event in the fest. Others who did not participate used to come to enjoy the fest. Fest was ok ok of our college, not so happening they were.

The fee structure was feasible. I did my whole engineering in just 3-4 lakhs. Each year was about only 90k. I lived in the hostel present on the campus, so my other expenses were there. Otherwise, the college fee is low compared to other colleges present.

No, I have no clue about this offering about my college. Though I would love to know about it if there is any.

The gender ratio was almost equal. Though apart from gender there are delhites in large number compared to outsiders. Being an outsider it took me some time to mix with the others. There were grounds for sports like football, cricket, badminton, and inner sports complex for other sports. Talking about the debates and all. Campus arranged various events.

I lived in the hostel for four years. Our warden mam was strict but I didn't encounter her anger ever, so I was in a safe zone. The hostel was not in good condition though we enjoyed our hostel journey. As we found another family there. Mess food was nice. Very cheap and of a good quality.

Yes, we had very helpful seniors. They were loving and kind. I lived in the hostel so I had a large network with the seniors. They were always ready to help whenever we approached them.

There used to be two midterm exams before the end term exams. Midterms contained 30 marks paper each. Which was then deducted to 10 marks each and another 5 marks were in the hands of teachers which were based on our assignments and behaviour. The end term exams were of 75 marks. The paper contained two questions from every four units of the syllabus with the choices of another set of two questions.

I applied for the entrance exam and tried to play with my luck. Luckily i got good rank with good marks being outside delhi candidate. It was then choice filling process in which i filled my choices based on ranks of colleges and also according to the branches.

Our college had two shifts,morning and evening. Both had different faculties. Also each branch had different teachers and mentors assigned. Some of them were really nice with immense knowledge. The faculties provided to us were really dedicated towards their work and helped us achieve our goals.
