Likes
- The main thing which attracts everyone towards VIPS College of IP University is the Infrastructure. The buildings and classrooms are quite nice.
- The crowd at the college is also pretty good.
- Faculties seem to have deep knowledge about the subject that they are teaching.
Dislikes
- There is unnecessary strictness by the management for things like wearing ID Cards with the class and campus.
- The area around the college is not that good, also feels slightly unsafe. College is situated just beside the Haiderpur village.
- Few infrastructure upgrades are required like increasing number of lifts as there are only 2 lifts to cater to so many students. Many students have classes on the higher floors like 6-7th therefore its not possible to use the stair case everytime.
Course Curriculum Overview
BBA from IP University is a very heavy demanded course. There is a good strength of students pursuing this course. In the first two semester major emphasis was on the theoritical aspect. I personally feel that the course should consist of practical aspects aswell from the very beginning including tooics like basics of taxes, startups, etc. There should be a balance between the two.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies offering internships to students in the domains like digital marketing, HR, Finance, etc. The placement cell takes the responsibility of making students aware about the internships. But it is not same for a cources. Bba students get offered more internships through placements compared to other cources like BA(JMC), etc.
Placement Experience
The packages offered to the students of VIPS college are not extra ordinary. The average package lies between 5-6 lakhs. Am not really sure about this aspects like number and companies visited the college but I think students of 6th semesters are eligible for campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall cost of course for BBA from VIPS college (IP University) is around 3.7 Lakhs (Around 1.20 lakhs per annum). Students belonging for the SC/ST category get some amount of concession from the fee. There's a hike of around Rs.6000 from the previous year batch. The fee keep on fluctuating every year.
Campus Life
VIPS is filled of activities, society events, events taking place around the campus. The annual fest of VIPS "Initio" takes place every year which is the biggest fest of all. Rest there are many fest organised by different departments of the college like "Spandan Fest", "Lit Fest", etc There are many societies/clubs aswell for music, art, dance, debating, marketing, etc. There is a club available for every student having different- different interests.
Admission
Admission in any college of IP University happens through IPCET or CUET exam. The priority is given to the IPCET Students. Application forms and all the necessary details can be found on the website of the university. Notice Tab on the website is hand to hand updated with every details and information. IPCET takes place once every year and difficulty is moderate. (Slightly difficult than CUET). Improvements: Admission process is very time taking, things can be done to fasten up the process.
Faculty
Faculties have deep knowledge about their respective subjects. Faculties treat the students well and even cater questions and doubts of the students like one should. They maintain a good environment in the classrooms. Even though there are 60 students in each class but on an average there are only 30 to 40 attending the class. Hence, the teachers are able to properly give lessons.
