Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is aligned to the needs of the industry and the college trains the students in a way that they are ready for the industry. They have a vast range of things to teach starting from algorithms and data structures to Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity, and many other technologies that are very much used for real-world applications. With the curriculum covering most of everything that is needed the college needs to add more emerging technologies and things which will be very useful for students in facing real-life challenges. The exams are conducted on an approx one and a half month gap and the difficulty level depends on the subject and the preparation done by the student.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies have offered internships to students in the college based on various things such as cybersecurity, cloud and others. The companies which have offered internships are Google, Microsoft, Wipro, Accenture, Goldmansachs, JP Morgan chase and co, and many other companies.
Placement Experience
The student becomes eligible from the 6th semester to apply for campus placements and the details of the placement drive are published on WhatsApp or telegram groups for students to apply for them. Many companies such as Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Wipro, JP morgan, and many other companies have offered jobs on the campus. My plans after getting a degree are to get placed into a nice job and earn money to get settled.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no increase in tution fee as such. The complete cost of the tution fee for me is Rs.9,80,000/- which doesnt cover some extra fees for workbooks and all which might cost around 1000-1500 for each semester. The financial aids which are available is based on the rank you get in the entrance exam or the marks you have scored in your 12th board exams. The lowest fee reduction is 15,000 and can be much more based on your rank. This reduction can be removed and you will have to pay full fees if you do not maintain specific CGPA requirements.
Campus Life
There are many number of college fests that take place in the whole university campus. Samyak and Surabhi are the university level fests which take place in the odd and even semester respectively . Other than this there are fests of all department and CSE department's fest is named as #include. There is a huge ground on which cricket football and many other outdoor sports take place, there are multiple courts for volleyball and there are indoor courts for table tennis and badminton. There is a gym too in the indoor complex.
Admission
The eligibility for BTech in CSE is 55% in the previous examinations that is the 12th board and also to increase your chances of getting the seat, you might have to take the entrance examination named KLEEE. The application date will be released on the KLU website way before the exam dates so that the students have ample amount of time to prepare and apply for the exam.
Faculty
The faculty to stodent ratio in the college is a bit high and it doesnt impact much on the learning experience as the faculty are present on the campus for students till night times and also available on the phone just in case you have any doubts. The faculty members typically hold atleast a bachelors degree and many of them have a masters degree too. A few faculty are even working on getting a phd degree. The teaching is mostly theoretical knowledge with a mix of practical and skilling based things in order to gain proper knowledge about a topic.
