I really don't have any bad remarks for the college. This college gave me everything I will ever need :)Great friends, opportunity to grow, remove your fears, and above all a wonderful and memorable college life :)

I got admission through IIT-JEE'11. Currently a dual degree student pursuing Chemical Engineering here. I opted for it because it is best.

Course curriculum is hectic though faculty is really nice and experienced who always encourage you to perform good in academics and you are always welcomed to discuss any type of topic with the faculty.

More than 200 companies offer intership in iit kanpur with stipend ranging from. They see your acdemic background as well as extra curriculum activities you take part in .

Placement Statistics goes normally around 85-90. So even if you are an average performer in academics you will get a satisfactory job. Packages ranging from 5-7000000 and few companies offer more than that too.

Culture fest: Antaragni is a non-profit organisation run by the students of IIT Kanpur. It was funded entirely by the Student Gymkhana of the university it began. Tech Fest: Techkriti -It was started in 1995 with an aim to encourage interest and innovation in technology among students and to provide a platform for industry and academia to interact Sports: Udghosh is an annual inter-college sports meet held in September. UDGHOSH involves students from all over India competing in the university's sports facilities.

It used to be feasible but now its neither expensive(comparing other government and private colleges) nor feasible Btech- around 3.6 lakhs MTech-around 67000.

A number of student scholarships have been created by the Institute with the help of funds received from different sources. These scholarships motivate the students to excel in their academic endeavors and also provide financial assistance to the meritorious and needy students.The existing UG student strength in the Institute is 3000 (approx). Out of which 800 (approx) students are getting different Scholarships including Government MCM scholarship and outside scholarships. Currently, the Institute has about 110 endowed Student Scholarships. Our aim is to provide scholarships to at least 50% of the student population, and we are currently short by about 600 scholarships.The annual tuition fees is Rs. 50,000. Boarding and lodging and other expenses are approximately Rs. 25,000.They have three categories of endowment for scholarships:1. Rs. 5 lakhs for boarding and lodging expenses.2. Rs. 10 lakhs for paying tuition fees.3. Rs. 15 lakhs for all expenses.

The campus is very lively, and there is a huge variety of activities going on. There is a very rich culture in fields as varied as dance, music to science and technology. There is something going on for every individual in campus.

The canteen at IITK serves just about an average food with a very low cost. The canteen is decently spacious. Though the variations in the food items are pretty less, students are quite satisfied. Mess food is like any other hostel mess. Most of the times

IITK can boast of producing a plethora of individuals who have dynamically influenced the world in thier own ways.and talk to any senior or alumni they are very friendly and always ready to help their alma mater.

I definitely can't say exams are are chilled out here because seriously they are not. You really need to put a sincere hard work to cope up with the academics here which do pay out in long term.
