- Firstly, it is one of the best colleges under the affiliation of University of Calcutta with very good faculty in my course.
- The infrastructure is very comfortable and the ambience is very calm and soothing with very helpful professors and HOD s which really helps to excel
Dislikes
- There is not college fest or annual fests held in this institute.
- The food in the canteen is kinda overpriced compared to its taste.
- Since its an all-girls institute,the exposure to socialization is not that happening.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well enough except for the scheduling of semester exams.Most of the times it gets postponed which kinda puts the candidates in a very uncertain stage.The amount of theoretical and practical exposure in the course is very well balanced along with vast opportunities of internships.
Internships Opportunities
The internships available in the college are well enough. Summer internships are there which is a mandate aa it gets added to our semester cgpa. There are both paid and unpaid internships, depending completely on the students merit and skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
According to my opinion , the fee of the course is a bit overpriced but also its to some extent worth it because of all the equipments being provided and also the travel expenses for field work. Scholarships are provided on highly excelling percentages or CGPA to the respective students. There is no on-campus placement in the institute but the exposure to internships is quite helpful.
Campus Life
The overall campus life experience is quite bitter sweet. There are various clubs which kinda brings the students of all the courses together,enhancing the social reactions. Contrary to that is the fact that no college fests are held in this institute which is absolutely heartbreaking as fests are one of the major things that lights up our college memories.
Admission
There was no entrance exam to get admitted in this institute.It was completely based on class 12 board percentages.The merit lists were published with the names of the qualified students which was followed by final call lists and finally the payment of semester fees for admission.
Faculty
Shri Shikshayatan holds one of the best faculties among all the colleges in Kolkata which in turn is one of the sole reasons why its a highly demanded institute by the candidates.The amount of verbal and academic support received by the faculty members is never disappointing. Their insights and ideologies give a glimpse of their extreme qualifications in every single moment.
