Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The practicals were not well taught or prioritised. it is very important for us to learn and train in Psychometry but it wasn't seen to that that every student is aware of the psychological tools. Curriculum could be more vast and the students can be made to choose their specialisations based on their merits and strengths rather than a matter of choice alone

Internships Opportunities

4

Both online and offline internships are offered. The placements are not that great for psychology students. Although the department faculty connect with organisation to ensure students complete their internships successfully. We have two periods of one month each for internships where we can choose to do internships anywhere in india

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual price hike of tuition fee. Hostel fees are also very high compared to outside prices for minimum services. Campus employment is not available. Exam fee is collected every semester and certificates are given only if we pay money the complete cost of education along with hostel and other fees totalled upto approximately 3 lakhs per year

Campus Life

3

I was part of Manvantara, the psychology club which would conduct an annual psychology fest. Sportspersons from the institute are extremely qualified and have participated in national and international tournaments. Technological provisions are moderate at best. Library is good

Admission

Entrance exam is conducted and interview is conducted. it is of easy to moderate difficulty. Entrance consists of certain math and general knowledge questions as well. Admission process was quite smooth but it is hard to reach the college office with the numbers provided on the website. All admission details are provided on the university website. The annual entrance test is know as JET. There are no reservation benefits in this college

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are hired from premier institutions and their connections and resources helped me a lot to grow as a student. Although the faculty to student ratio is not great, the faculty try to listen to the needs of the students. teachers were very approachable

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
