SKIT - Where hard work means success

The management is very strict & rules are laid for every action.The main problem with administration is that they focus on attendance more than quality of teaching.

I took Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test (RPET) & scored 4905 rank. I chose SKIT Jaipur over other government colleges because of its good track record of placements, peformance, activities & talking with its alumni.

The course curriculum is designed by Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. The curriculum is not well designed with too many subjects & no focus on practical engineering.

I did my internship in BSNL Jaipur. BSNL came to college & selected some students for internship. The internship continued for 4 months & I gained a lot of practical knowledge. Stipend was not given for internship. I then did my summer training from NTPC Anta for 2 months.

The placements at SKIT are good than any other private colleges under RTU in Rajasthan. Nearly 40 companies visited campus last year & packages are good enough in range of 3-10 lakhs. Highest package was 10 lakh by Data64, Mumbai.

Several events are organised & celebrated in college every year with main techno cultural fest - PRAVAH & sports fest - AAVEG. On every Wednesday, activities are organised by various clubs in college campus.

The fee structure is decided by RTU Kota but apart from that some extra fees for NBA accredition & activities is taken by college. The hostel fee is little expensive as compared to others. The tution fee is total Rs 75,000 p.a. & hostel fee with food is Rs 80,000 p.a.

The college gives financial help to students who are unable to pay fee due to some family problem or a valid reason. Apart from that students can apply to scholarships by state & central governments. Education loan is not given by college but can be taken from banks at very low interest rates.

The campus life is quite enjoyable with lots of activities & clubs like robotics, music, dance, topaz, etc. Every Wednesday some events are organised by students themselves. But at the same time hard work is necessary to get good results in SKIT. The marking & attendance system is strict.

The hostel facilities are good with single seater rooms.Facilities like wifi, cooling, hot water & washrooms are well enough & coming to mess food, most of the students don't like mess food after sometime as the dishes in mess are fixed according to days

The alumni network of SKIT is not so well connected but most of the alumni are at good positions in various companies & came to alumni meet when organised in the campus.

The exam structure is according to RTU Kota.The main semester exam is held by RTU & 2 mid terms are held by college of 20 marks each per semester. Practicals are performed in a good mannner in labs.

The faculty is good but the administration at SKIT is strict & not favourable to free environment.
