Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It's the dream that i choose this course. The curriculum we follow is cbme which is a competitive learning. We get to have classes like doctor patient relationship. So the new curriculum makes good doctors. This curriculum is best there's no need to get it improvised. Exams in our college for each subject there'll a internal assessment every month. Apart from that we'll be having practical exams, viva voice and ospe

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship will be held in this college on our 5th year. We'll get to have exposure to all the departments and work there for 1 year in rotation. We'll be doing everything from OPD and even in Operation theatre.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I'm into government quota we pay fees of rupees 725000, which includes tution fee, hostel fees, book fees , stationery fee, transport fees. There are lots of scholarship available by the government. Like community scholarship and first graduate scholarship. At internship we will be given a stipend of rupees 5000

Campus Life

1

There will be no entertainment allowed in this college. The only thing the management allows is Pongal festival which eventually fell during our university exam time. Library has wide range of books and journals. Classroom is smartclass we'll be taken with ppt presentation and internet is provided so we'll be searching in Google. Sports events will be conducted and are allowed to participate in another college events. There will be no social events coordinated by students

Admission

We all have to clear the neet exam. After that I've filled the tn medical selection. For me the application fees is exceptional. After counselling based on mark and reservation we were selected. After that we were given a application for colleges . According to our marks and college priority we were allotted colleges. The only suggestion in admission process is to make it quick.

Faculty

4

The total strength is 150 people in each year and in 1sr years the staffs are big less 2 for 150 which is bit tough for us to learn. Consequent years the ratio is not the same, there'll be more staffs. Everyone is a MBBS, md graduates so everyone teaches very well. We get to have a mentor for a group of 10 students. Teachers are so approachable, we can ask them anything at anytime

Other Applied Colleges

Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center - [KIMS & RC] | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery [MBBS]

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
