Pragjyotish college an honest experience.

Well I opted for Bachelor of arts in this college. The curriculum provided by the council is well address and taught by the faculties. The professors are quite knowledgeable and try to help students and clear their concepts and doubts. They are well trained and qualified in their domains of expertise and they handle the curriculum in such a manner that the students could gain the most out of it.

The college offers internships and skill training workshops for the students allowing them to develop skills and knowledge throughout various fields. The college has provided intership programmes to the students from various fields like tech and IT, management and commerce, automobile and mech , etc. The college has recently provided Internship to students in collaboration with various IITs and IIMs . The Internships offered are both free and paid internships . The internship durations lasts about 1-2 month available in both offline and online modes.

Well the college is basically a government aided institute under the Gauhati University. So the students can apply for various scholarship programs offered by the govt. The college also provides free of cost admission to the financially weaker students. The college offers provisions of various scholarship programs under the government like Ishan Uday, other backward caste quota students, etc. Overall the fees structure for the general students varies according to the amount set by the government which was for 2024 around Rs 7100 +. And for free admission/ students having lower income certificates is significantly lower at around Rs. 1500+-. The college also provides concessions to the hostel boarders accordingly to the schemes of the government.

The college journey one can expect here is quite diverse and exciting. The college and authorities organise various programs for the students like skills based programs , cultural fests, conferences, educational programs , awareness drives , NCC drives, etc. The students get to learn and involve themselves in various activities and events. The college union organises the annual college week and college fest every year. Fresher's meet event for the newcomers are also organised.

Well the eligibility requirements is 10+2 passed from any board of education. The admission process starts generally from online application through the college's own portal or accordingly through the common application portal launched by the government for the students. The admission criteria is basically on merit, preference given to the meritorious students first accordingly and vice versa. There is also reservation quota available to the students for OBC, ST, SC various other fields like sports, cultural, NCC, etc.

The faculties on the institution are well qualified and have good knowledge and insight into the subject. They are well aware of the requirements of the students and try to address all the problems of the students. However sometimes there may be some difficulty arising out of unavoidable circumstances.
