Review on Rajalakshmi Institute of technology

The bomming talks of artificial intelligence and the wonders it does , the need for the database management and data science techniques in the recent years made me choose this course. This curriculum well prepared me for the real-world applications by solving and sorting out the real world problems through technical view. This has changed my perspective of a problem making me to think in a solution related path. The teaching method in RIT is more often practical and hands on training which will surely equipe you with cutting edge skills. You will have 3 exams in prior to the semester called as cyclic assessment test(CAT) 1,2 and 3 where you must score 50% to get pass which is not a big deal for an average Student.The marks obtained in CAT-1, 2,3 will be averaged and adds a 40% to your end semester scores which is of 60%( 100 marks is converted to 60) .Each exams occures in a gap of 2-3 weeks.

The internships are provided by our college in companies such as cognizant, Accenture, TCS , IITM and many more they are both stipend and non-stipend. For hostel students college buses are available to attend the internship. Even if the students themselves applied for an internship the college will definitely give their support. There is a credit for the internship in one of the semester in you course. The college provides internships in domains of IoT , data science, cloud computing, block chain, web development, artificial intelligence and many more

Students in RIT are eligible for campus placements from the mid of the 3rd year. The placements here are pretty good and decent. Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, HCL, Tidal, ZOHO and many more companies come for recruitment process. The highest package is 12 LPA and the average package is 4-5LPA

When I joined the college the tution fee was 150000(year -2022),but now it is nearly 200000(year -2024). For each you are asked to pay exam fees , for each subject you need to pay an amount of 500, total exam fee depends on how many subjects you have. The hostel fees was 75000 when I joined in the year 2022 now it's 90000 in the year 2024. The students who scored a cutoff of 190 are provided with full scholarship including the exam fees , accomodation and food ,while the students who scored cutoff of 185+ are provided with the half payment in both tution fee and hostel fee. Further the BC, MBC, SC scholarship are provided for Students whoes annual income is below 800000 and an average score of 60% in HSC . There are many center of excellence in each domain the students can undertake projects and internship in their intrested domains, stipends are awarded as per the students contribution and skill set

There are many technical events happening now and then in our college like mathofest, so many hackathon both intercollage and intracollage, paper presentation, ppt presentation, research paper submission and many more, students who win the contest are awarded with cash prizes. The library is not so big but has all the stuffs needed for an engineering student, it has lot of up to date journals regarding the new technologies and innovations. When coming to sports side the college doesn't provide you chance to learn new sports it only supports the state and national players to attend the competition.There are clubs such as Nippon club(Japanese) ,infinitus club(maths),Unath Bharath Abhiyan (social),NSS (social),Road Tract club(social) ,varithi club(Tamil) & more.Students specially have student centres to do the club activities.The grand intercollege culturals of RIT named YATRA takes place once in a t Year followed by ethnic day, yatra day 1 and day 2 filled with fun,dance& music concert.

Hostel facilities are not bad but for girls there is no hostel in the RIT instead they have accomodation in the RAJALAKSHMI HEALTH CITY ( medical College of Rajalakshmi groups). The meals provided there are good only vegetarian available, but students can order food at any time may be veg or non veg . The hostel is not that strict it little flexible. While paying the tution fees you have to pay the hostel fees and get the hostel renewal form which allows you to further stay in the hostel hostel fee is around 90000 now in the year 2024

Student should have secured 185+ to get placed in the artificial intelligence and data science course in RIT under the councelling entry , when the entry is through management the student with 60% in HSC under the maths biology or computer science group are eligible to opt the couse. The application form is available in the Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology website or students can directly go and approach the college for few details and the admission process (recommended).7.5 reservation for government school Students are available in RIT.

RIT has a good population of Teachers since the students intake os less the teachers are able to take care of every students they handle.The teachers are well experienced in the domain they handle. They help the students in their projects some mentors are really strict but that definitely help the students to bring out their full potential. The faculty members have a very friendly approach with the children . Teachers are always available for the students except the time of staff meetings . The faculties respond well even out of their working Faculties are well concerned about the students career growth.
