The campus is beautiful and artistically designed. wonderful teachers who are mentors and guide us in every possible way.
There are a lot of extra curricular activities which keeps us occupied
The canteen food is tasty with a lot of different varieties.

Dislikes

The distance from yelahanka is about 20 min. There should be an inhouse hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is affiliated with Bangalore North University. Hence the syllabus is a bit rigid. They teach us beyond the syllabus, which is relevant for the industry. There are workshops conducted on a regular basis to enhance our knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

Our seniors were placed in Puma, Tommy Holfiger, Ritu Kumar, Ganjam and other brands. There were Hr's coming to our campus to conduct interviews and guide us on the interview process. Some of our students were guided on how to become entrepreneurs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure i around 3 lakhs. There is a scholarship discount which can be availed if you have secured 75% and above in your board exams. The faculties do help in us gettng internships and placements. I have seen my seniors being placed through campus recruitment.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is beautiful. it is a 5 acre campus. The library is vast with all kinds of books on design and management. There are a lot of clubs like sports , cultural, music, drama clubs to choose from.

Admission

First I was informed that I need to fill an online application form. Then i had to write the entrance test and make sure i pass. Then the counselor will explain the admission process and verification of marks cards etc. Then you will get an email securing your admission after paying the admission fees.

Faculty

Most of the faculties are Phd and master degree holders. They have a lot of experience in the industry as well as the teaching industry. They guide and mentor us in every possible way. They give us assignments on a regular basis.

Interview Experience

Yes i had a written test where i had to secure a minimum of 50 percent marks to avail admission. The test tested your aptitude, analytical and creative skills. Then the faculties will have an interview with us on why we have chosen this course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum here feels more practical and idea driven rather than just theory based which was one of the main reasons I chose this course it focuses on design thinking creativity and real execution instead of only textbook learning One of the strongest parts is how it slowly builds your understanding from basics to advanced concepts through projects assignments and presentations this helps in preparing for real world work because you are constantly creating and improving your portfolio rather than just studying for exams The curriculum does prepare you for industry to a good extent especially in terms of creative thinking software usage and project handling but it can improve by including more updated trends real time industry briefs and collaboration with professionals which will make it even more relevant Teaching methods are mostly interactive and practical but sometimes they can include more workshops guest sessions and exposure to current market tools to enhance learning experience Exams are conducted with two internal assessments of around 40 marks each followed by a final semester exam of 70 marks theory and 30 marks practical the difficulty level is moderate if you attend classes and complete your work regularly it is manageable Overall the curriculum is strong in building creative foundation and practical skills but with a few updates and more industry exposure it can become even more effective for future careers

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have really packed timings. We also have a lot of chances. Like an exchange program, internships and many chances to act or work in actual projects. I really hope they could teach us animation in the course and it would really help if the clubs are active. For every exam we have to come up with something new totally out of the box. sometimes we also have to work overtime.

Campus placement is available and the average package is about 7 lakhs and the highest package is about 30 lakhs. Because the university is new there is only a master's degree batch that has been passed out. There is about 90% placement.

Ab overview of life at NIFT Bangalore

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.

There is some issue in placement, though we get placement the scope for the future through these placements are not that great. Many students fail to get proper placements. The scope or plan for many students is to try and open a new brand or collaborate with other students to create a new brand.

A place to learn and grow

Admission:

Inquiry to the college admission officer. Download application online or take in hand. Fill in the details and submit the application. Date of entrance exam and Exam center will be allotted and hall tickets will be issued. Shortlisted candidates will be called for face to face interviews with parents along with their portfolios. counseling with the concerned hod or faculty takes place, based on overall marks results will be sent to them to come for proceeding with the admission.
