Course Curriculum Overview
During my time there, we used to have 1 assignment for each subject every month. Mostly those assignments will be based on your course material so if you put effort into doing your assignments you’ll be able to get a good grasp of the subject. You’ll have 1 internal exam right after 1 month of your session starting and will have 1 viva before 10-12 days of your external exams. Focus more on case details, not on case laws name you can use the details in the form of illustrations to show the examiner you have a proper understanding of the subject.
Internships Opportunities
During my time there were No internship opportunities, you would have to contact a few teachers who would help you get an internship if you had good academics. They used their personal contacts so I don’t think the internship committee did anything in that regard. Towards the end, a group was made for placement support for 5th-year students but it only provided details of opportunities that were usually available on Linkedin, Internshala, and other law websites.
Fees and Financial Aid
During my first year, my fee was 72,000/- and they kept on increasing it year after year. When I was in 5th year fee for 1st year students was around 92,000/-. You’ll get 2 types of scholarships, one merit-based and one necessity-based. I never needed a necessity-based scholarship so I don’t have much idea but I received a merit-based scholarship and for that, you have to be among the top 3 students in your Batch and you’ll get a certain % of your fees refunded. I secured 3rd position in my 3rd year and got 10% of my fee as a scholarship. The first rank holder got 50% and 2nd rank holder got 25% of the fee.
Campus Life
There were many clubs and societies during our first year in college. A few of them were- the Moot-Court society, Dance Club, Singing Club, MUN committee, Cyber Cell, Poetry/poem club, and Debate club. You’ll have one diwali mela and one fest near Christmas and New Year. Our college was closed for 2 years due to Covid so we were unable to enjoy these things much.
Admission
10th and 12th mark sheets along with your character certificate, passport, adhar card, and your parent’s Adhar card are a few documents that you’ll need for the admission form submission. During my time IPUCET was considered and the maximum cut-off was 8000 rank. If you ranked anywhere between 2000 to 8000 you could get admission to this college. But now they don’t conduct this exam and you need to appear for CUET UG for IPU as well. You can apply for Reservation benefits they were able to get admitted at 10000 as well.
Faculty
1 faculty for 60 students. Some professors are really good and thorough with their lecture material but few just come and read aloud from the PPTs. It depends on your efforts to determine how you’ll perform in exams.
