Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum is based on CGPA as same as other colleges. Vels University's curriculum is based on 40 marks internals and 60 marks externals. For internals, you have to maintain 75 percent of attendance and give assignments, seminars, and projects.
Internships Opportunities
The College offers internships from the second year. Many internships are offered to many streams like Engineering, Arts, Science, and Commerce. Some companies like Accenture, IBM, and Amazon give stipend during internships.
Placement Experience
Almost 150 to 200 companies visit the college every year. They selected a huge number of students based on their eligibility and requirements. Students who maintain more than a 7.5 CGPA and have good skills are definitely get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Fee structure may vary for different courses in the college. University offers scholarships for sports students and first graduates. For sports students, they will give full fee reimbursement. For first graduates, they will give 10 percent of tuition fees.
Campus Life
There are many clubs in the University. The clubs are the National Service Scheme, English Literacy Club, Tamil Literacy Club, etc. The Campus is 30 acres of green environment which gives you good vibes and a positive mindset. Books are provided from the college library.
Admission
There is one scholarship entrance exam for Vels University named VSAT. This will help students to pursue their higher studies with scholarships upto 75 percent. Otherwise, there is no entrance exam for admission.
Faculty
The Faculty members are well-educated fellows and they have all done a PhD course. They have well knowledge of things in their field. For every 20 members, there is one mentor to guide themselves with knowledge.
