Dislikes
- Mess food is purely vegtarian. But is ok.
- Boys are not permitted to go outside after 8.00pm. And girls are not even permitted. They can only go when their outing timing is alloted.
- Mostly in old hostels, indian rsstrroms are there.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have good basics in coding. Thats y i choosen cse course. College curriculum is more revelant to industrical needs. But need some improvments. For 1 years, students will study entire enginnering stuffs. External is 50 marks alone. And exams will conduct on every month. Based on this 50 marks will given.
Internships Opportunities
Mostly for cse students, job role will be developer, tester as an intern. In 7th sem, students are allowed to attain placements. There only internships are provided from college side. Students those who are selected can compensate their last sem marks with their job role creids.
Placement Experience
Placements are quit good here. 7 sem students are allowed for placements here.tcs, zoho, paypal are the tope recuriters for cse. 80-90%of students are placed yearly. Highest package is 54lakhs and lowest package is 2-3lakhs and average is 8 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tutition fee is like 1.5Lpa. It takes 6.5lakh to complete b.tech in sastra. Student welfare fund is given by sastra for students who losed his parents. And for north-east students tutition and hostel fees are free. Stipends are also awarded gor students based on their academic performance.
Campus Life
Sastra have 3 fest. Darsk is an techno management fest for technical stuff. Colloseum is sport fest for all students. Kuruksastra is students culturals with lots of fun. There 40+clubs in sastra for diffierent activities like tech, management, sport, fun, literatureetc...
Hostel Facilities
Food is good with recent taste. But purely vegitarian. Free wifi, snacks and housekeeping is provided in hostel. Registration for hostel will be provided when u get alloted. Pg rooms are also available near college.
Admission
For tamilnadu quota, minimum 85+ percentage in boards and jee mains are required or 93+ in boards are required for cse in sastra. There is no reservation in sastra. Exams are conducted monthly. Based on that 50 marks internals is taken. AND external is 50 marks alone.
Faculty
faculty to student ratio is like 15:1. mostly all faculty had their phds in prestigious universities like iit and nits. Faculty are highly helpful in placements. They have good industrial knowledge. So students who struggles in placements can use them for good placements.
