The lab facility at the college is kind of outdated. The signal of some network providers causes some trouble in some areas of the college. After all, the overall performance of the institute is excellent.

I have appeared for the JEE MAINS and after scoring 144 and with a CBSE 12th percentage of 95 I was able to secure a rank of 20550 in the common merit list. According to the rank, I found NIT Jamshedpur a promising college for my career. The placement stats were awesome which is kind of the most important thing.

The course at our time was a bit outdated but as of now, the course has been updated keeping new technologies in mind. A programming language is introduced for every stream and there is also sliding option between branches if one performs outstandingly well.

Yes, many companies visit our college to provide internship opportunities to second and third-year undergraduates. The stipend varies from 8k to 30k per month. Postgraduates also get fair chance to get an internship in top companies for research roles.

NIT Jamshedpur conducts following major events. 1. Ojass - The techno-management festival of the college which is one of the largest fests in the north-east part of the country. 2. Culfest - The cultural fest of the college which attract a lot of celebrities and participant across the country. 3. Urja - The inyra college sports meet of the college in which all the streams or branches battle with each other in different sports and athletics events.

For a batch of 2019, the general category students have to pay around 1.25 lakhs per year that includes tuition fee, mess fee, hostel charge, and other necessary charges. After the batch of 2019, according to the percentage increase in the fee structure students have to pay around 2 lakhs for the same. The fees may be expensive for some but bank loan schemes are easily available.

Yes, I availed the SBI Scholar education loan scheme to pay my college fees. This education loan is easily available in the SBI branch located in the college only due to the great name and quality of the institute. Other scholarship offers that pop up during college are Cummins scholarship,e-Kalyan(for category students), etc.

The campus life at NIT Jamshedpur is awesome. We have all kinds of sports facilities like cricket, football, basketball, Table tennis, lawn tennis etc. The gender is not so good but due to the introduction of girls quota, it is improving these days. Different fest and event of the college conduct all kind of competition including robotics, coding, photography,video-making etc. Several canteens are available with the subsidized rate of food items. Proper security is available near girls hostel for the safety of girl students.

The hostel facility at NIT Jamshedpur is kind of luxurious. The first year students share the room with one person but after first year every single student gets their own personal rooms with proper lighting, ventilation and LAN connection. The mess food is not very good in the context of taste but the quality and hygiene are always maintained.

NIT Jamshedpur proudly maintains its alumni network through the alumni team which are controlled by the students of the college. Every year in the month of January alumni meet is organized targeting specific batches to provide them a nostalgic moment. The alumni team is active on major social media sites like Facebook and LinkedIn

As of now, We have a semester divided into two exams, mid sem(30 marks) and end sem(50 marks). The remaining 20 marks are allotted for assignments, attendance and surprise quizzes that are conducted during normal lectures. The syllabus of the exam is strictly based on a handout that is designed by the higher authority.

After securing a rank of 20550 in common merit list, I have to finalize a priority list of colleges I want to attend on josaa. After choice filling I paid the sum of 45,000 INR to josaa for counseling process which is further added in the institute fee. 4 rounds of allotment had been organized by josaa and we had options for freeze and float. After having NIT Jamshedpur finalized I submitted every required document in the institute in person at the very same institute with tuition and mess fee.

The high-quality young faculty is nowadays hired on contract basis which provides a really nice set of professors. The permanent faculties are oldies and have the great experience but sometimes lack in knowledge of newer technologies. The overall faculty can be given a score of 7 on a scale of 10.
