Svit vasad - college for seekers

The college overall if we see is a very wonderful college but when we talk about the college management , it is very slow in working and has much local influence over the local students than the students studying from outside or coming from other place to study.

I took the exam called joint entrance examination (jee) mains. This takes place every year and i scored 98 in it. I opted this college because it has wonderful study culture and better placements than any other college near me

The curriculum is based on the Gujarat technological University and it is wholely designed by them. So the curriculum is based on what government decides. The course is of very old type and technologies and thus needs updation. Also more focus on research is not given by the college.

No the college does not provide internship opportunities. But it surely allows the students to go into other companies from outside and do the internship there. Thus students get a very good exposure and experience of how the company works and how and what techniques are used there.

Placements are wonderful compared to other colleges in the vicinity. The pay given by companies varies from 2lpa to 5 Lpa and from the last 2 years the maximum package has been of 10 Lpa. So opportunities are very wonderfull if you have good knowledge about your academics and good soft skills.

There are 4 events that are celebrated in college. First is Vision which is intra college technical event which takes place in September. Then it is a cultural event and extra curricular event called Spandan. Then we celebrate a sports week called spark where in students take part in different sports. Then the final event of the year is the largest of all called Prakarsh which is the national level technical symposium.

Fee structure is very flexible. It is the second cheapest college after the government colleges in terms of engineering University. Thus the fees structure is feasible. Fees are almost around 70 thousand a year for students and it varies as per the year in which student took the admission.

A scholarship facility is available for the students who are from backward classes or reserved classes. The scholarship depends on the class and academics of students. Also there is a trust of college which helps the poor students in need. Load facility is available for the students and they can opt it.

The gender ratio is balanced. Almost 60-40 with 60 for male and 40 for female. There are some departments male dominated while many other departments have balanced ratio. The extracurricular activities are very wonder and college support every type of extra curricular talent and helps it to represent college at different higher levels.

Hostel is not available inside the campus of the college. So students have to stay of campus. There is a facility of hostel just outside the college campus where students can stay. There is a pg facility available in the vasad village and on an average a student has to pay 2 thousand rupees if he stays in sharing basis.

Alumni network is very weak in the college. There are some departments only who take the interest to be in contact with alumni. Rest are not much connected. the senior students are very helpful in everything from studies, to events to, giving notes.

Exams are divided into two parts for each semester. First is know as the mid semester exams. They are of 40 marks. You have to score 16 for passing it. If you score less than that, the you have to appear for a remedial examination of same pattern. Then there is external exam of 70 marks taken by the gtu in which you have to score 23 to pass. Other than that you have practical exams during the submission phase.

I got admission through acpc process. Acpc is through which we can avail admission and book our seat here. The form had to filled online and then we have to come to college campus with the documents mentioned on the acpc website for further registration process. Then ,after submitting documents we have to pay rest of the fees and we get the credentials.

Faculties lack in communication in English language but they are very good at teaching and communicating in hindi language. The teaching knowledge of a particular faculty in his/her field is wonderful but they lack the knowledge of current world and need upgradation.
