Wonderful college

Things to be noted: 1) If any senior is travelling and sees a junior in train, he will offer his seat. 2) If there is senior , No junior is allowed to pay for what he eats,drinks,smokes. 3) You need not to buy a single book and every book of seniors can be lend even the notes and drafters. 4) Juniors anywhere in the globe if sees a senior greets him with respect. 5) Even if he holds a higher position in same company , still he treats his college senior as senior. 6) No-matter whats the gap between batches once we come to know that we are BITians the unbreakable bond comes into play. I met a senior first time and still we both were very much comfortable sharing our views and much more. 7) If a BITian has Exam or Interview anywhere over the globe...he just finds where do other BITians live in that area... No need of prior introduction ... just a call and you are warm heartedly welcomed.. 8) Don't know about other colleges but with such facilities Our college alumini are present over all MNC and government companies... Some being CEO's also.. 9) Want to know what an alum feels about his college then just pull the string of BIT in front of any BITian. 10) With less facilities but yet the support from branchmates were unmatched through out life. 11) If you have had an accident then its responsibility of your branchmates & immediate seniors to handle the issue till your parents reach.. and let me tell you without a single penny in pocket they can help you survive the most expensive treatment. 12) I had a friend named Devashish... he heled a mentally challenged senior to recover by giving him time... though that senior was not able to speak in high pitch yet every1 respected him... this shows mentality 13) I have many friends who study in BIT Mesra but none of them has shared such experience... so to the first person... just grow up before posting such things.. Hope now it makes clear to you all what is the relation of BIT's Junior and Senior... If yet their is some doubt then you are free to meet me ..

Jharkhand combined Jcece My score was125/150 Since the college is an old government college and has strong alumni.

The college is quite decent ,but there is no focus on research field .Some professor are well qualified , the mechanical department is good. The faculty here is also good.some professor are well qualified

Placement from bit sindri is very good over the years.For cpre branches the average package offered to students is aroung 4.5-5 lakhs per annum but for cse/it/ece average package offered to students is 3 lakhs per annum.So it can be said that it's average there

In one word it's rocking.Fests are one of the most beautiful part of BIT's culture.A total of 9–12 fests occur during the entire 1 year starting from November and lasts till April.Fests are of two types : Cultural and technical.You will have a plethora of events to participate in and can win exciting prizes. Moreover there is mix of both open air events and inside auditorium events.Celebrities also come in few of the events to perform like Kumar Vishwas once came.Trust me fests are awesome in BIT. You can enjoy with your friends,rummies and gf/bf the whole night dancing in the open air events.There are a huge no of opportunities to showcase your talent such as singing ,dancing,ramp walk,painting,decoration,dramatics,role play,skit,duet performance,miss/Mr photogenic etc and in technical you will have options to participate in a variety of coding competitions, technical presentation,source code, overnight coding events,mechanical related events,robotics etc..Also we have sports related several events.

Its varies from branch to branch. Though the most number of female candidate is in Chemical Engineering branch and the least number of female candidate is in Mechanical Engineering branch. Mechanical engineering consists of 1 or nil number of female candidate.

The experience of living in hostels of bit sindri is just awesome. Our hostels had been built around 1970–1990,so they did not contain modern type facilities. The rooms had been built with high cielings that provide us better comfort throughout the year. We don’t have any proper place near our college to visit ,so we all reside in our hostels most of the time. In 1st year our nights were spend by hiding in hostels or out of the hostels due to senior’s visiting our hostels for ragging. Some small boys hide in their trunk, some hide by sleeping with the mess staffs, some hide in toilets and many more hiding tricks. In the season of IPL and cricket matches all the boys gathered in the common room where everyone sat on the floor and watched the match by passing comments and sarcastic lines. In 2nd year since we had became the seniors so mostly our nights were spent entering 1st year hostels to take ragging. Some nights were passed by making fun of our batchmates who perform wierd activities after they were drunk. Some nights were also passed by gossiping with friends about their girlfriend or about their funniest incidents. Some nights were passed by playing 29(a game type of playing card) or carrom. In 3rd year mostly our nights passed by alcohols and weeds. Some basic information about 3rd year in bit sindri is that you will be most probably beaten by the final years in both occassion that is when they get placement(due to excessive drinking) or when they are unplaced(due to frustation). Some times were also spent by teasing our ward servants. We had also discovered some secret paths to move out from the hostel so that we can enjoy our night out. In final year most times are spent by memorising the incidents what we had done in past three years. Some times are also spent by thinking what to do in future. During placement seasons most of the nights are spent by beating or seeing 3rd years beaten. After placement season most times were spent studying. At this instant we realise that we should now become serious in life after all we know that we had prankly passed our 4 years of engineering.MESS and Food is decent .

The best organization is Pryaass India. It helps to learn those children who are poor and can not afford study facilities. The best job in this world is to help others. Nothing is better than helping others. Though the first year candidates who join the organization leave the organization as they go to second year because of their complex schedule. Join the organization, if you really want to. Dont chase anyone . Chase you aim , passion.

The admission to this college is through an entrance exam i.e., JHARKHAND COMBINED. After entrance there is counselling of seats on the basis of your score.Since the college is an old government college and has a strong alumni.The candidate belonging to jharkhand should opt for Jharkhand combined.mThe question in the entrance is very easy ,only you need to be fast because there are 150 question in 3 hr. Very few college are under jharkhand combined , only bit sindri is famous,so everybody wants to get admission,so you need to score higher i.e., above 100 for computer science department.

The faculty here is also good.some professor are well qualified, the mechanical department has very superb faculty.The best part of being a student of BIT Sindri is that you can easily find a handful of alumni working with almost every major organizations in India. In general, they are quite generous in helping students from their alma mater.
