The truth

The branch in BTech gets alloted to you based on your PUC grade, your branch preference, and caste, and the year's cut-off. I didn't get to choose my branch because I didn't have enough GPA to do so. The curriculum mostly doesn't prepare you for real-world applications or further academic pursuits. The exams are conducted once every month saying monthly tests and once every 3 to 4 months semester examinations are conducted and in 7 to 8 months two semesters are conducted so an academic year lasts only 7 to 8 months. They can make the semesters longer and give more knowledge, and create a stress-free environment for students.

Students are eligible for placements from 3rd year's second semester say e3s2. The number of companies that visit is getting smaller by the year. Companies like capgemini, cognizant, white carrot, Genpact, and many others employ it. There is no such thing as 100 percent placement, maybe 20 percent of the students got placed in 2024. I graduated this year and I haven't got any job and I do not have enough knowledge to compete in the outside world and I have to take other courses which cost a lot to get any knowledge and get a job

The total fee for an academic year is 36000 INR and the tuition fee is covered by the government scholarships every year. Most of the time you don't get a scholarship until the next academic year. There are many other mandatory charges that they get you to pay at the end of your education. Mess bills will be covered by all students except the OC candidates. At the end of 6 years, the mess bill has to be paid to avail the certificates. It will be a total of 60000 to 70000 with each year 14000. Since the university is built on the outskirts of the city and since you are not allowed to go outside of the university you don't get to do any other part-time jobs to save money and you don't get any opportunities to work inside the university either. Placements are provided to students but the students to placements ratio is very high so not everyone can get jobs.

The fests do not have any particular date. Most of the time the administration doesn't give any permissions to make fests. Although farewell is held every year and no fresher parties are allowed. Tech fest was held in 2020 and it is supposed to be held every year. There is a central Library which aims to be open 24/7 but it isn't and a very short range of books are available in the library. There is a digital library and digital classrooms. There is a student activity center which has a badminton court, carrom and chess room, table tennis court, gyms for both girls and boys and an auditorium for events and also they teach veena and other instruments. There is a dance club, music club, and others.

There is no exam to get a seat in the university. The eligibility is your 10th cgpa. If you get 10 or 9.8 cgpa, you might have a chance to avail a seat. The application process is all on the internet, you just have to search RGUKT basic admissions and the year. Reservation benefits are available for sc, st, and other students. The admission process is foolproof meaning no one in the administration can get you a payment seat and it is solely based on your cgpa.

I think most of the faculty that taught us are qualified to teach in the university, I'm saying this because they are done and not all faculty come into this category and there are some professors who give the best advice.
