- College has a really large and well built campus , clg is good in academics, large hospital , largest patient outdoor and great sports facilities. It neends some improvement in reduction of fees being a government medical college.
- Well built , open and a large campus attracts neet aspirants to this college. Being in a medical environment , u wil have the great social exposure and interaction with outside medical students , differnet doctors, professors, hospital staffs,etc.
- The faculty at sms medical college are great professors and doctors themselves , and there are many large lecture theatres to accomodate more than 350 students while the batch size is only 250 , and lecture theatres have a projector and 2 led at back

- Maybe if u can say then college fees may have been a little less as it is a government college , but it s worth the facilities it provides.
Course Curriculum Overview
Those who want to become a doctor choose the mbbs course. Course is of 4.5 years and a 1 year internship. Its a very social course because u get to interact with patients and hospital management, preparing you for a noble profession of a doctor . And there is no place better than sms medical college to do it.
Internships Opportunities
Mbbs course has a 1 year internship necessary. They provide u decent stipend of 22,000 to 25000. And as intern in hospital u get to learn much as it has largest patient outdoor and all technical facilities , so u get a great experience in here.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is approx 1 lakh per year for the new students from 2023 but it was just half till 2022, so yes fees has drastically increased. General fees increment policy is 15% per year. Scholarshiop is provided to category students and pwds which is just half. Also u can do some research in medical college by nmc and they give u some anount of scolarships too Hostel fees is approx 30-40 thousand depending on type of room ( single seater, double or triple seater) u choose
Campus Life
College has large well built campus. College management celebrates some festivals . Medical students together can also organise fests , gatherings, etc . College has 2 large newly built reading halls or library where you can find all medical books . Classroom has one large projector screen , a white board and 2 leds at back , equipped with ACs . Campus has all sports grounds separate for each sports like separate football ground, volleyball ground, tennis court, badminton court, table tennis court, cricket ground , and all the equipment needed in them. Students run a social help group known as teem umeed which help poor people with clothes , food drives and ngos and orphanges visits . College campus also has a swimming pool and a gym memberships on a monthly basis .
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are well built . They have large spacious rooms fotted with all necessary facilities except ACs. Hostel has 3 hostel mess and 2 canteens. They provide good quality meals. You have to just fill a form and deposit the required fees. Fees is 30-40 thousand depending on type of seater which is i think is quite affordable instead of living outside.
Admission
Eligibilty is to pass 12 th grade . Students need to apply for neet ug exam and get decent marks in it according to cutoff. Then the counselling process occurs . If u r getting this college based on ur rank then fill its admission form in counseling process . Cut off for last year was around 680 out of 720. This year it has drastically increased, around 705 out of 720.
Faculty
Batch size is 250 and there are enough teachers on every batch. They make slides and explain them to students thouroghly with videos , real life examples , clear your doubts. Every group of four students have 1 mentor on them . So there are average 50- 60 mentors for a batch. We can interact with teachers anytime during college hours , also students have their mobile numbers, so they are approachable easily.
