- Disliked the laboratory assistance. I got less chances to get into laboratory
- Disliked about the exam schedule.Exams are conducted before finishing the course.
- They took us very few time for the field work.As geology students we need to do field work
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is CBCS curriculum.The method of teaching is good.The course is structured in such a way that it is going to help in further NET examination. So much content in course which going to help in future examination.But the only problem is that the course has vast content for per semester.The papers should be in a certain kind of combination that would be better for the students to complete the course within the limited time period.
Fees and Financial Aid
The admission fee was 2500 rupees.Then there will be a charge of 1000 rupees for every semester.Other than that you have to pay for field works,which will be decided according to the convenience. Other than that college provide scholarship for poor PG students.
Campus Life
There will be less number of festivals that are going to celebrate in college campus. Department does not give enough focus on extra curricular activities. Less number of youth festival I have seen in college. There are students groups which helps students to have their rights and to ask for their demands. Lab assistance is good. Books are available to read there and also to have for a particular period of time.
Admission
There will be an application date and form available in Ranchi University official website. You have to look after that or else you can get it from any contact.You have to fill the application form.The addmission process is basically on marks basis.That means you have to provide your marks of graduation and documents.They will provide a date on which they will announce the results.The result will be shown in ur profile which you would have get during the form fill up as well as in the notice board of the college.Merit students has to bring the documents asked by the department on a particular date,they will verify and you can enroll.There will be some advantages for reserved castes and also if your domicile is Ranchi.
Faculty
One thing I liked about the college is lecturers are very friendly.They try their every possible way to help in our studies.They are highly qualified too.They are easily approachable.Always ready to help the students out. They help a lot for practical works.They try to teach the very little things that matters for our studies.Lab assistance is also good. Faculties are always concerned about opportunities for us. They provide that friendly environment a student wish for.
