That one year experience will stay with me for lifetime. It was enlightening, enjoying, beautiful experience to be a part of YMCA.

Entrance Preview

YMCA Entrance Exam For Advertising, PR and Marketing. I opted for this course because I had graduation degree in Mass communication and I wanted to pursue PG in media or communication.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course was compiled in an organized manner. One or two subjects each day. Curriculum is very apt for 1 year course. Each and every topic is covered within that time period and it was not much difficult to complete the course as faculty is very cooperative.

Internships Opportunities

Although they referred some students for few jobs. But, I already had a job in my hands, so I did not show much interest in that. Campus placement is not good enough and doesn't promise much to the students. Don't expect much in terms of placement and internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of anything like that. I did not have any scholarship and neither of my classmate had it. However, you can pay fees in instalments (may be 2 or 3).

YMCA has highly experienced and knowledgeable faculty. They used to teach as per their experiences and shared examples of their professional career. They don't just focus on theory but believe in teaching through examples.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are average when compared with other B-schools of similar level. The companies which have visited so far for internships are mostly start ups like Wealth Blue and Outlook, but some other companies like ITC, Bajaj Capital and Coca Cola moon beverages have also come on campus. The highest stipend promised so far is 15,000 for 3 months or 10,000 per month for 2 months. A lot of students are yet to be placed, both for final and summer placements. My plan is also to get a job post my PGDM.

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Good opportunity in JIMS

Placement Experience:

From 4th trimester onwards that if from August onwards after coming back from 3 months summer internships, companies come for placements and students can apply to the companies. The companies that visited campus are DELOITTE, KPMG, ACCENTURE,TCS, RANDSTAD,ICICI,SBI, MOTILAL OSWAL, BAJAJ, ASIAN PAINTS, ADITYA BIRLA, BLACKROCK, GRIDLINES etc. and many more. The highest package of our batch went for 24 lakhs( Oman based company) , average went around- 7-8 lakhs , lowest - 4.5-5 lakhs. Profiles offered- Sales head, operational manager, Deputy branch manager, Junior Analyst, Analyst, HR - talent acquisition team , underwriting team etc. Right now more than 80% of students have gotten placed and rest are in the placement process which will be till April. I have been placed in ICICI LOMBARD for Underwriting and Claims process and will be joining the company soon.

The YMCA institute conducts its own entrance exam in order to grant admission to the postgraduate programs. I appeared for the entrance exam and ultimately got shortlisted for the next round. Students have to purchase prospectus along with the application form, from the college by paying the prospectus fee.
