Well, there are no such complaints regarding the college management. Every thing in Bethune College is nearly perfect.

I gave the entrance exam for English honours. I had scored 40/50 in the exam. The cumulative score, after including my +2 marks, made me eligible for the Phase 1 Admissions at Bethune College.I've always wanted to pursue English honours, and to study in a government college. To be honest, professors at government colleges are more hardworking and devoted to academics.

The course curriculum is indeed student-friendly. The first year syllabus of B.A. and B.Sc. courses are actually a revision of our +2 studies, which is extremely comfortable for any college newbie. Moreover, our college professors encourage students to research and prepare their own notes & answers on their own.

Yes indeed. The placement cell of our college conducts recruitment drives every year for students of UG III, MA I and MA II. The stipends vary from company to company, yet the experience is worthwhile.

Our college placement cell is very active. In fact, since 2017, students have been given the opportunity to be picked up by IT giants like Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Netscribes, and many more. With as good payscale, along with good perks & incentives, most of the students are glad with the college placement cell.

The college celebrates the death anniversary of its founder, John Eliot Drinkwater Bethune, on August 12th every year, by the name of Bethune Day. Along with it, on the same day, is celebrated the ceremony of Van Mahotsav. The student union of the college organises the fresher's welcome party, and also the famous Annual Inter-College Cultural Fest, AALAP. Besides these, the college celebrates Republic Day, Independence Day, Sports day, and our eternal Alumni meet (Sammilani).

The fee structure is very much feasiblem. The admission fees itself is below Rs 2000. The monthly college fees are less than Rs 100. Another incentive for the students is the option for half-free or free scholarships for meritorious students who are in need of financial support.

Bethune College is a Girls' college in totality. The college is a great educational & cultural hub, buzzing with various workshops and events regarding social awareness and the need to view the world with an unbiased eye. The college organises Intra-College competitions in the month of August/September, so that every student gets a fair chance in the competitions. Our college is very active in Quizzes, Debates, MUN sessions, cultural programmes, and so on.

Our college does not have any hostel facilities. Yet, there are numerous PGs near the college campus, which provide good accommodation and healthy meals for the tenants. There are many hostels nearby as well, providing equally good food and accommodation.

The Alumni of Bethune College is very active indeed. In fact, the ex-students, as old as in their 60s or so, brim with enthusiasm and excitement to attend the various events organized by our college. It is on such confluence of the older generations with the newer ones that makes Bethune College a blessed educational institute indeed.

The college is very regular about tests and examinations. The Midterm exams are conducted between September & October, while the Selection Exams are held between February and April. There is plenty of time for students to prepare for their assignments and exams. However, attendance is deemed necessary by the college itself. Regular attendance is a must for the students.

We had to go to the admission website curated by the college, and then fill up form. Payments can be made either online or via bank challan. After this, we had to sit for the admission test. Later, counseling dates were declared, and accordingly, the admission procedures took place.

The faculty is extremely good. Each and every professor is approachable. In fact, my department, i.e. the English department, has a star-studded faculty, each of whom are meritorious in their own fields. Our professors are our guiding lights. They are always by our side, through thick and thin.
