Likes
- The bleachers near girls hostel. It feels good, sitting there in winters.
- And obviously my friends. Other thn that my college doesn't really have something good to offer.
- Our pub ad. (miss sonia) Teacher . She's the only one, who minds her own business and doens't torture and ridicule students for not attending her classes.
Dislikes
- Professor are cheap especially "history department" teachers. Everyone of them teach hcp that's a compulsory subject and they'll literally torture you into hating this subject the moment you enter the class :)
- I used to think being teacher's pet was a thing just in schools ( I was wrong ). Here, some teachers take their classess according to their convince doesn't matter if all classes end at 3 pm. At expects the strength of students in their class.
- Doesn't really have much of an options for different club's. Other teachers get mad if we take part or join the clubs (again torturing to attend the classes instead of those activities)
Course Curriculum Overview
Okay so, I wanted to persue psychology and sociology ( I was sure about that from 11th). I think you should just focus on what you want to do, that's it. That will eventually lead you to the place your supposed to be. Exams are held twice a semester, typically midway through the course and at the end of each term. In my perspective, the difficulty level of the exams is easy ( for my course) . The critical thinking type questions are missing even in English subject ( compulsory also).
Fees and Financial Aid
You can get scholarships after 1st semester but these scholarships are available only to sc/st and other's and students who's parents income is low. 1 year complete cost would be around 24 thousand or even less . None ( I am in NSS tho)
Campus Life
It's good but that is because of the friends I have made in there. Club's doesn't really do good to you here instead it keeps you away from the fun you can have with your friends and seniors because here club's are more like forced subject to you, once you go for it. Limited books and almost every Book is related to studies. Not a sport's person so doesn't really know about sports matter in college.
Admission
The admission process was easy buy lengthy. The application form was in the official dhe.chd site ( every detail is available on that site for new students) Registration fee was also very little around 100. For my course the admission was merit based 1st they'll usually choose from ut pool thn outside od ut pool. ( Anyone with 12th marksheet is available for ba course)
Faculty
Most of the teachers hold PhDs, but very few know how to effectively teach or hold students' attention throughout the class. Many are more focused on rushing through the syllabus, providing only a gist of chapter/topics . Previous sem one teacher didn't even come to the classes ( the whole sem). Just 2,3 visits in our section that's it.
