College's Administration staff/ accounts staff/ registrar/ director are very active and no work remains pending as it happens in government colleges. The overall experience is good.

Gokhale institute of Politics and Economics is research institute and has four Masters courses, that are Economics, Financial Economics, International Business Economics & Finance and Agribusiness Economics. All the courses are designed in such a way that each course has a necessary content of Economics & the specialization in the particular field as well. Faculty is involved in extensive research work as well.

The course curriculum is neither to exhaustive and neither too dull. It is a mix of qualitative and quantitative courses and the level of quantitative courses in manageable. Overall course curriculum is matching with the standards of the best universities offering the same course.

5% of the students get their internship from the campus and rest of the students easily get internship in think tanks/ research organisations / corporates as the institute's name is respected in the market.

Around 60-70% of the students who sit in placements get placed. The various profiles are consulting (financial/market) / market research/ analytics/ banking / research/ Risk advisory etc. The Ctc varies from 4 to 13 lacs PA averaging somewhere around 7 lacs PA.

Each and every festival is celebrated in the hostel campus among the students and the faculty as the both reside in the same campus and 90% of the total students live in hostel. Holi/ganpati/onam/janmashtmi/lohri/independence day/republic day (even more than this) is celebrated every year in a proper way and funds are allocated for each of these.

Fees is less than 2.3L PA for Each of these courses and less then 1L PA for general Economics. If we see the ROI, the fees is feasible. The above fees includes food, accomodation, academic fees, electricity etc. Institute also helps students with installment options in case of fianacial problems.

Yes, Assistance pay to work in library/college is given to financially weak students and instalment facility is there for weak students as well.

Gender ratio is almost 50:50 (m/f) and at times there are more female students than male. Extracurricular Activities includes societies relating to SPORTS, CULTURAL, MUSIC, ECONOMICS, DEBATE, ALUMUNI, JOURNAL/MAGAZINE, PLACEMENTS. The college is equipped with computer labs, projectors etc

Mess food is average/below average but given the amount i.e 3000 RS. per month the mess food is good. The hostel facilities are good (not hi-tech) but manageable and for girls it is good and hygienic. For boys the hostel is old but still manageable and fresher boys are given quarters to stay.

College has an active alumni cell and yearly 3-4 alumni meets are conducted over the country to strengthen the alumni base and alumni often visit the college and talks/sessions are conducted.

Exam structure is such that 3 periodicals are conducted with one final exam per semester.Marks of Best two periodicals are considered out of 3 and final marks (60% weightage). One of the periodical of each subject might be projects/assignments/presentations. Apperaing in 2/3 periodicals is compulsary otherwise one might get debarred.

There is an independent entrance exam conducted by the institution in which they prepare a merit list based on the performance in the entrance exam. Now based on the merit list and the preferences of the course which we choose when we fill the admission form, students are invited to take the admission. Generally admissions happen till 400 rank and there are 160 seats in total.

College offers in house faculty for 60% of the courses and guest faculty is used for the rest. In house faculty includes great researchers in their respective field. 10-20% of them might not be good in teaching but they are definitely good in the research. The Guest faculty is called from big management institutes/industry at times and might be from nearby colleges as well. Overall the faculty review is satisfactory.
