Course Curriculum Overview
The Btech course in AKGEC runs as per usual. Therebis enough time in each semester for building real word skills and also work on academics. The curriculum mainly involves theoretical knowledge with only a little importance on real world skills. The students have to acquire those skills majorly on their own.
Internships Opportunities
There are several internship opportunities available at the college for the students from 2nd year onwards. The college provides enough time between the year breaks for the same and is very supportive of the internship programmes.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college is generally average to good. Most of the mass recruiters and big companies visits the college and provide on campus placements. The students are generally eligible for placements from 3rd year and for internships from 2nd year. The average package is around 5.5 lakhs and the highest is around 48 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the college has been approximately same over the years. The hike is almost negligible. The fees can be said to be affordable in comparison to some other big AKTU colleges. The total academic fees rounds up to around 5.5 lakhs rupees. There are various scholarships available. 5% seats of every branch is alloted as tution fee waiver seats.
Campus Life
The campus size of AKGEC is 40 acres. The campus is spacious and beautiful. There is enough greenery and open space. The campus life and social life is very good. There are various societies of different domains which students can join as per their interests. The sports infrastructure is also quite good.
Hostel Facilities
The college hostel although a little expensive is quite nice. The food quality is above average at best and the rooms are spacious enough. There are only a limited seats available for hostel. There are various PGs and hostels around the college which are very affordable in comparison to the college hostel.
Admission
The admission in the college is through the UPTAC counseling which is based on the jee mains score. 15% seats are filled through management quota. The application form for the direct admission can be found on the official site of the college
Faculty
The faculty at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is regarded as the best out of all the colleges of AKTU. The faculty-to-student ratio is appropriate as there are enough faculty members for every branch and subject and all of them are adequately qualified. The main focus of faculty is the academic result and they have strict policy regarding attendance and assignments. The faculty is always available for interactions on working days and are highly approachable. So all in all the teaching faculty can't be faulted on most of the parameters.
