I chose AIML because there is a lot of scope in this field in the future. T&P (training and placement) classes are held in OIST. In which the focus is on aptitude reasoning coding.In this college, we do internship in the second year, although we do not do this internship in any big company.

Internships Opportunities

Now I have got the opportunity to do internship at Aicte and Cisco online. And in future I will do internship in many other companies also. Mostly, important internship starts after the 2nd year and many companies even hire you in the 6th semester.

Placement Experience

If I talk about last year, very few companies came but for the 2024 batch, many companies are coming like TCS, Hexawer, Carwala etc. This year the highest package is 18 lakhs.This year Capgemini and Cisco have also hired many students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for B.Tech specialization in this college is Rs. 127500 which includes bus fees and other fees. And the fee for Computer Science is Rs. 144000.In this college, bus fees are included in the study fees. Paying bus fees is mandatory. Along with bus fees, library fees are also included.

Campus Life

If I talk about my overall experience, I have been studying in this college for 1.5 years now. The campus of this college is very beautiful, many films and TV shows have been shot here. Discipline is very important in this college. Many functions are also organised from time to time like DJ night, hackathon, coding challenge etc.

Admission

Admission in this college is based on the percentile of the candidates, you can take admission through MPD and last year the specialization cut off of this college was 40 to 55 percentile.And the cut off for computer science is a little high, around 60.

Faculty

Very experienced and educated faculty teaches in this college, many teachers have more than 10 to 25 years of experience.The teachers here are very friendly and even if there is a problem at midnight they solve it.

One becomes eligible for college placements if he/she in their third or fourth year. The number of companies visits are great like Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase &Co. , Atlassian etc. These are the good companies which offers great placements. Course Curriculum Overview:

Jiwaji is Government university which have a long heritage. But is now coming to the short end of the rope. Institute of Engineering Jiwaji is fairly newly established around 20 to 30 years or so. The faculty is not that great and is not that experienced and have less facilities. Faculty of IEJU is mostly on temporary payroll with some of the permanent faculty. You have entire leasure of time to yourself. So, thing other than couese can be pursued. Hostel facilities are good. If we come to exams Other than Pharmacy and Engineering all other course have tomoy scheduled exams with strict checking and scoring.

Remarks:

My college comes under Institute of National importance,it has amazing placement,the students in this college are very intelligent as everyone joins after qualifying one of the toughest exam JEE advance, college has beautiful campus and has well equipped labs and also hasquite low fee compared to other colleges.

Choosing a college is a major decision, and for many students OIST Bhopal, the choice often comes down to abalance between legacy, regional repution, and practical constraints. Students typically compare OIST with other top private colleges in Madhya Pradesh such as LNCT or VIT Bhopal. My rank falls in the 1.5 Lakh to 5 Lakh range, OIST becomes a primary choice. It offers the same RGPV degree as the government colleges but with a more structured trainig program for private placements. The admission process is centralized and follows the guidelines of the Directorate of Technicial Education(DTE), Madhya Pradesh. Qualifying exams: 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics(PCM). OIST Bhopal is an outstanding institute!
