Well,BIT Sindri turns out be the college which has the best returns on investment. Being a government college,it does have its share of setbacks and shortcomings,yet it does provide a platform for students to excel in their life.

To get into BIT Sindri,one has to appear in the JEECE(Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination).I opted for BIT Sindri,as it is one of the premier institutes of the state.It a government college with a good reputation.

The present course curriculum is very much the same as IIT KGP. The course curriculum has undergone a thorough change and has been updated to make it more useful. The establishment of Centres of excellence is another boon for research-oriented studies.

The college does offer internships. Companies like Tata Steel and Bokaro Steel plant offer internships to students. Many students opt for internships from Internshala platform as well.

Placement at BIT Sindri is good. Core branches get placed in top companies like TATA,L&T,Vedanta while Mass recruiters like TCS,Infosys and Wipro also visit for campus selection. Coaching institutes like Byju's,FIITJEE, Career point also offer placements.

1.Cultural Events The annual Cultural fest BITAANSH is celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal. It is a two day mega fest, where the students enjoy a lot. Fresher of the year contest is a 1st year exclusive contest full of exciting segments,which is thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in the college. 2.Technical Events Sandhaan,the annual techno-management fest of the college is also an event to watch out for.It is full of exciting segments like robotics, autonomous robotics,bike assembling,hydroflight and much more. Apart from Sandhaan Technical events like Tech Udhbhav,Triveni and Dhatvika also take place.

The fees of BIT Sindri is very affordable, considering the fact that it is a Government-run institute. The cumulative fees for 4 years including fooding and lodging barely reach 3 lakhs. Thus,BIT sindri offers an engineering degree without burning a hole in your pocket.

There are a few government funded scholarships available for students belonging to minority communities. There are also several alumni funded scholarships available. The college also offer a scholarship to branch toppers every semester.

The campus of BIT Sindri is spread across a large land of 440 acres. There is ample greenery in the campus and plenty of fresh air to breathe in,thus giving the students a perfect place to relax. The gender ratio is 6:1(boys:girls). Considering that this is a state government run insitute,The college mostly constitite of students from the state of Jharkhand,while there are a few students from Jammu and Kashmir and Bhutan as well. Sports and extra curricular activities take place regularly and provide the students with a perfect break from the hectic study schedule.

The hostels have undergone recent renovation,hence they are in a pretty good shape. The mess food is sort of okay. The hostels are spacious and pretty comfortable to live in. The mess food varies subjectively,while some people like it,some dont. The rooms had been built with high cielings that provide us better comfort throughout the year. We don’t have any proper place near our college to visit ,so we all reside in our hostels most of the time. In the First year,a room is shared by five individuals(The rooms are spacious enough) In the second year,4 people share a room. While there are single rooms for 3rd and final year students.

The senior-junior relationship at BIT is beyond words. It is simply amazing. The alumni network is also spread all around the world. The alumni are trying their best to help the college retain its glory. Alumni visit the campus regularly and various seminars are also held which provide the impetus to do even better in our field.

The examination pattern at BIT Sindri is very sorted. There are Mid sem and End sem examinations in each semester. Mid Sem comprise of 20 marks while the end sem comprise of 70 marks. Class tested are also conducted which constitute 10 marks. Moreover sessional examinations and Viva-voce are also conducted.

One needs to score a good rank in the JEECE examination to secure a seat for him/her at BIT. After the results are announced,there is a counseling session where the seat allotment happens. Students opt for branches as per their choice depending on their common merit list rank.

The faculty of the college is pretty good. Recently, teachers from some premier IITs and NITs and other reputed institutes have been hired. Thus ,there is ample faculty strength to impart good technical education. I personally feel that the faculty is very good and they impart effective technical knowledge. Most of the professors are highly qualified and more importantly highly experienced.
