Likes
- College infrastructure is very nice. All classroom are well maintained with digital boards and projectors.
- College campus is full of greenery and seating arrangements. Campus have digital library which has more than 6000 books and easily available to all students. Library has syllabus books as well as novels, journal's and daily newspaper.
- Course curriculum is very accurate. All points are covered in depth. In period of lockdown, all lectures are conducted online.All the faculties here are PhD holders and has strong hold on thier subjects. Faculties are available for doubt sessions.
Dislikes
- Canteen food is ok ok. If you want tasty food you have different hotels near campus.
- College hostel building is very old, new building work is on its way.
- College auditorium is small in size and not enough for cultural event.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum covers all the topics required for becoming the registered pharamacist. Once you completed the course you can opt for different careers as pharmacist, medical coder, teacher, etc. Surprise tests are conducted monthly. Semester exams are conducted every 6 months. The college is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.
Internships Opportunities
Companies that provide internships are lupin, shreya pharmaceutical, Johnson and Johnson,mylon. During internship you have to work at manufacturing unit. Companies provide actual field experience during internship.
Placement Experience
You are eligible for capmus placements after completing seventh semester. Companies visited are Gebbs Healthcare Solutions, Wockhardt, Lupin pvt ltd, Sun Pharma, Johnson and Johnson, mylon. Highest package offered is 500000. Average package is 250000. 50% students are placed and some opt for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees per year is 80000 for period of 2018-2022.Now it is 130000. There are many options available for scholarship. State government provide scholarship throug DBT portal. Central government provides scholarship through NSP. Option for private scholarship is also available.
Campus Life
Cpus life is very good. There is no issue about social aspects. All students are friendly. Annual gathering and fresher party are conducted every year. Mr and Mrs.YB are selected dusing annual gatherings. All classrooms has digital board and projector. Girls canteen and boys canteen are different.
Hostel Facilities
Fan and cupboard are available in every room. Every room contains study table with chair. Meal quality is very good. Menu contains vegetables and pulses. College hostel is affordable and registration process is very simple.
Admission
You can apply for B. pharm course once you completed your HSC. For the admission at YB chavan college, students has to appear for MHT-CET follwed by CAP rounds. Reservation benefits are also available based on category. Exams are conducted semester wise and some tests for practice are conducted monthly. Two sessional exams are conducted in every semester which contributes for internal marks.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Classes are digital and faculties are very good. All teachers has friendly approach towards students. Teachers are very good at mentorship. At time of projects they guide us very well. They are available for doubts and ready to help.
Interview Experience
There is no group discussion or personal interview. You have to appaer for mht-cet. After mht-cet you have to apply for cap round. And based on cap round merit list you get admission to college. For mht-cet you have to study your hsc syllabus.
