Dislikes
- I disliked the placement authority here and also there is no internship opportunities are given to students in 3rd year you will have to do it by yourself here
- Labs and equipments are also outdated and not very well furnished
- Library facilities are available but very poor and also transportation facilities in college is very poor
Course Curriculum Overview
I was in ECE department so teacher here are very approachable and educated and skilled in their fields And I think syllabus was same as in IIT level as when I discussed with IIT students I feel no difference in between
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are very less given in the college but if u are in core department then it will be easy for u to get internship opportunities as teachers are very approachable and have great communication and connection through other colleges
Placement Experience
Campus placement is offered to 4th year students only Internship opportunities are also very less Actually as per the record 80 percent of students get placement I will choose mtech after the degree Averagr package is around 10lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
As it's government college no such hike in price happens and fees is quite low Campus employment was not there All the government facilities are available to students that are in other NIT Mess fees are also very affordable not such hikes are seen
Campus Life
Annual and technical festivals are center attraction among the students I'm pretty sure around two events always happens in the college All books and journals are available in college as it's NITs library Sports needs to be improved Many social groups are there you all will enjoy
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are pretty big as compared to other colleges Many IIT rooms I have seen is small and not so clean but in my college it was exceptional in facilities. Meal quality is also very great you will feel like u are in restaurant as it's provided by IIT Guwahati mess
Admission
I filled the jee mains and then got here through josaa counselling actually I got this college in last round and application form was same as the jee mains form and exam are tough to clear as you all know Test is conducted by NTA so authentication is already there
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio was very good Never felt that teacher is less for any subject Everything was good in terms of study Faculty were very skilled and also provide mentorship if u are enthusiastic. And teachers are very approachable and no ego atached
