What Students Say
Likes
- I'm a second year student here, and my college is situated in Ajmer, JLNMC. The university is very supportive and helpful in a academic way.
- The university administration pays good attention to students needs and implements rules and regulations keeping in mind the scenario
- Another plus point of this universe is that it is a well recognised and reputed university in Rajasthan, and moreover in the whole of India.
Dislikes
- One thing is that they should take strict actions against ragging in medical colleges
- I suggest to schedule periodic visits to the respective colleges or the area.
- Inspite of the laws, many students are being ragged beneath the nose of administration
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of medicine is a vast one and we can't forget the efforts we have to put in to create a good doctor. The curriculum is excellent if we take the current scenario. The AETCOM modules are scheduled once a month so that patient to doctor communication can be improved. Talking about the areas of improvement, it would be better if we adopt modern ways of teaching, by visual learning and ofcourse, practising. Exams are held yearly. and internal assessments are held every couple of months. their difficulty level varies from moderate to hard. and the exam setting is excellent in my opinion.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers internship to every graduate, posting them to the nearby hospitals. the stipend they offer is around 20000 rupees, not sure but this is the range like 20 to 30k. there are 2 to 3 hospital units where interns work for an year, enjoying their monthly salary
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee has not been severely hiked from last year, but some changes have been made. Fee is affordable for most of the students. and yes they provide scholarships to financially challenged students. The Rajasthan sso portal has scholarship schemes. The complete cost of first year is Rs.108000 including the Rs.60000 tution fees. The tution fees is free for SC,ST and female students. I don't know much about internships because I'm still in 2nd year. I've some knowledge that they offer around 20k as stipend
Campus Life
The campus kind of lacks some space, keeping in mind there are around 1250 students studying here, they need more buildings and a better infrastructure. Library is good with almost every book available. There's a good reading room which stays occupied during exam days.. Cultural weeks are organised yearly, and cricket tournaments and other activities.
Admission
The course required passing of the national eligibility cum entrance test (NEET). you can fing the application form on the official website of NTA. application fee was around 3000 dates were around the month of May 2022 Scheduled caste reservation, I am related to the caste "Khatik" which falls under Scheduled castes according to the constitution of India. The entrance exam is held yearly. and it was not much difficult.
Faculty
The faculty in my college.i.e JLN MC Ajmer is definitely top notch. their teaching attitude and orientation is out of the world. they give so interesting examples of mind wobbling diseases and problems. and all of the above they are very friendly to the students, helping us in every aspect of life, be it moral values and stress management.
