Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum in the department goes from the basics to advanced. Every semester we learned about something new while keeping the old ones in mind. History repeats itself, so it can be a part of our lives sooner or later. Exams are taken timely.
Internships Opportunities
Department of history doesn't provide any internship facilities. But one can apply for govt internships through internet searches. But one can join as a scholar through PhD or NET examination. One can also apply for guest faculty
Placement Experience
Department of history doesn't has any placement system. But after completing graduation, one can apply for any govt exams like SSC,UPSC etc. After Post graduation, one can apply for NET exams and research, through which they can become assistant professor.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first semester, we paid 4150 but it recently increased to 4650. Rest of the semesters we paid 3650 which recently increased to 3850. For the north eastern Students, Ishanuday scholarship is available till graduation. Single girl chil students can apply for Indira Gandhi scholarship for masters.
Campus Life
Department conducts several educational and entertaining programs all over the year. It also conducts several seminars and sports programs. There are several clubs which one can join. NSS is also applicable
Admission
One need to qualify 12th exams first. Then University takes an entrance for which minimum 50% marks is required to qualify. Later the choosen candidates need to provide their documents for verification. SC and ST students have reservations and OBC are also included.
Faculty
Department of history has best faculties. They are very helpful and friendly. Our beloved HoD is a very good person. All the professors and scholars are knowledged and teach very professionally. One of the best department.
