Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I want to become a cinematographer so I choose this course. They are so much into practical things , they teach by practicals mostly. I don't think so that they need any improvement because they are good at their field. Time between Mid term and End is so less that makes difficulty for us like only 2-3 weeks between MTE and ETE

Internships Opportunities

4

If you are good at particular skill and Faculty knows about you then faculty will surely connect you with some company and recommend company about you Like this year I was doing internship in muskurahat foundation and got 20% stipend of fundraise . So basically it's up to you how much you are capable for reputed company and offers I'm Second year students So my task was simple to raise funds and make a diary to write down everything about my days like what I do and how I do.

Placement Experience

3.5

After fourth semester students are eligible for placements but there are some criteria's for sitting in placements I don't know about much but this year about 20+ students get placements from my course and Wipro , Mahindra , TCS , Amazon , Lallantop etc are there for offers. Highest package is around 12-13 LPA and average is 4LPA 60% students get placements I'm likely to look for cinematography internship

Fees and Financial Aid

No, There is no hike in tuition fees or anything but there are fines. In first year you have to pay 92000 for tuition fees ( including exam fees etc ) and 1000 for Icard and 2000 some miscellaneous after that you just have to pay 92000 I don't know about financial aid but they suggests you with some opportunities I didn't taken any roles now but I'm future I'm ready to take on some things

Campus Life

4.5

Holi samaroh for Holi , diwali also celebrated with full fledge in month of October - november and Every type of festival is celebrated like in January we also celebrated ram mandir inauguration. Every types of recommended books are available in Library and you will also have departmental Library Currently, in one block they have biometric attendance in coming year they improve in other blocks too and AC , Fans and projector are available in every class Sports is not good for non sports background student. In one year we only studied haven't played any type of game by department but you can play by your own and activities according to your course and needs You can give auditions for any type of club like sports , liberals , management, photography etc and they will surely improve your skills and include you in activities

Admission

50% above in 12th and have english and mass media ( optional) in 12th You can find brochure and everything on their main website I didn't avail reservation After first month they start giving you first assignment after that within a week your mid term exam and then Assignment 2 after two weeks practicals of end term and then 1 week end term Nah admission is so smooth

Faculty

4.5

First of all they give mentor faculty to every individual student for their every problems and queries and there is 1:10 ratio of faculty and students. Learning is easy because they are strict and have eyes on every student. Faculties are friendly kind off

Placement Experience:

80% students are placed through DME with a package of 5 LPA to 7 LPA on an average which is quite decent for a fresher entering the industry. The top recruiting are for placements are Bharat Express, PR Guru, Amar Ujala, Dynamite News, T.H.E.M.E.S. Over 90% of the students were placed for internship in Amar Ujala, PR Guru, Aaj Tak, ABP News and Doordarshan. Top roles offered are journalist, content writer, anchor, film maker, and back end roles like video editor, graphic designer and many more. I personally plan to go into video editing after getting the degree.

Placement for Bajmc at dme are limited compared to some other professional courses. Students usually become eligible for placement opportunities or internships in the final year. There are not many direct placement with major media houses although students sometimes get industry exposure through sessions or visits .

My main aim is to become an automobile journalist that is the aspect that influenced me to choose this course. Till the date i dont feel that improvements are needed in curriculam and teaching methods. As faculty is really good in teaching and timely providing notes as it really helps students to learn effectively for theory exams and concentrate on practical skills that are needed to secure good position in reputed firms in future

Placements of our colleges and mediocre. From 6th semester students become elegible for campus placement. The highest package offered was 6LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Placement depends upon the students applying for placement through college. Many students gets internships or jobs by themselves before even reaching placement cell.

Students become eligible for placement during their final year of college. DME offers several different companies that it has tie ins with for placements to students such as Gadgets 360, Aaj Tak, Myntra, PTI and D&P. 70-80% students get a good placement package. My personal plan following graduation is to pursue my higher education in correspondence with employment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself was nothing out of the ordinary material, it teaches you the basics of the field but the faculties were pretty good and helped us understand not just the basic but a little more so that we could actually be able to work in the environment once we get there. Also they organise workshops which was mandatory for all the students without any extra charge to learn from professional what to do and how to do it best. We also used to get projects which actually helped alot in learning with practice the theory.
