Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is to the point and very much the same as the current scenario of the IT sector. It helps us as students hit the ground running when entering the true working fields of IT. The curriculum includes the development of working projects for a better explanation of the concept. Talking of exams they are pretty much moderate in the difficulty level, though being enough to test the knowledge and teach you something new.
Placement Experience
The university is well known for the placement and students after the 6th semester become eligible for the placements. If you ask for companies visiting the campus include HCL, WIPRO, INFOSYS, AMAZON, GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, TCS and many more. The average package ranges somewhere between 7lpa-10lpa and talking of the highest has gone to 40e pa which I believe is decent enough for India. I myself am looking for campus placement and to work for good companies after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The campus of Chitkara University being partially government funded is very affordable in comparison to other Engineering Universities. The current tuition fees is approx 80k per semester, which makes it obvious that no further financial aid is given to students or any sort of scholarship. Being a first year student I have not involved much into campus employment though have seen seniors having keen interest in that and being really active towards such tasks.
Campus Life
The university focuses on the holistic development of the student and provides students with top notch facilities in all the fields , let it be sports , academic , social events , clubs or any other. Social events including concerts , dj parties , tech feats and all other festivals are celebrated extravagantly and feels like the part of university curriculum
Hostel Facilities
To be honest, hostel facility is the only aspect the university lacks . The hostels are pretty average specifically for boys , as they get non ac hostels alike girls ac hostel. Even the mess food is just ok but for the price point of the hostel the facilities are decent enough.
Admission
The admission process is really simple. There is a counselling session conducted for the admission process and the preference is given to the high curing percentage in the 12th or the JEE examination. So the student is the one who chooses the campus and the field. For the course the university of a campus, Rajpura, and Baddi, so it's the choice of the student according to the ranking or the marks where he wants to go. It was conducted in Chandigarh and was a whole different experience.
Faculty
The teachers are well qualified in knowledge and pro lecturers. Non is below MTech and most of them are PhD. There are adequate number of teachers to manage all the students with their quries and doubts. They have regular doubt sessions which are great help.
