Likes
- Faculty members are very supportive they are very helpful in any kind of educational or social work. Also they encourage you to participate in different different cultural as well as education events like hackathone,Robo fight,etc
- Social life in this college was very decent as it is a government college mostly students came from lower middle class family so they are very shy in nature but very helpful and humble
- In this college there is no one strict about attendance which is good for some people and also bad for some people as some people utilies this time for productive work and some wastes their time
Dislikes
- I dislike collge infrastructure. The college infrastructure is very poor and ambients are very cheap even all the washroom are very dirty
Course Curriculum Overview
Very few topics were left during my computer engineering course otherwise almost each and every topics were taught nicely and timely. Only few topics such as UI/UX designing,Few topics of Mobile Application Development(MAD) then IOS were not taught during our curriculum
Internships Opportunities
In 7th and 8th sem i got the internship on my own as college was not providing better opportunity. I did internshio in Xipra technology and got 8000 per moth internship stipend and also they offered me a job as web developer. I did the project of weather forecasting web application and online doctor appointment booking system based on MERN Stack technology
Placement Experience
Placements in the VGEC comes with very low CTC. Here only few well known companies came for the placement and offers very low CTC, so thats why i didn't take placement and starts preparing for Post graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is a government college the tution fees as well as hostel fees are very low compared to othe private colleges. Even if you include all your tution and hostel fees , transportation Expenses, food , other extra curriculum activities Expenses, Documents for submission, exam fees you will complete ypur degree within 1.25-1.5 lakhs
Campus Life
Overall experience VGEC was very average as they forced you to focus more on education events and study rather than cultural events and parties like freshers and other events. There were very few clubs were running like NCC,Environmental clubs but no one was taking part in it due to lack of facilities which are necessary for us to giving society
Admission
If you are from general category you must have to rank below 1500 ACPC rank of Gujarat board , in my case even i got 1207 ACPC rank which is all gujarat state board rank, i got admission in computer enginnering course in vgec in 2nd round. So you have to study hard in your 12th board examination
Faculty
Faculty memebrs are very helpful and supportive. they are whenever you want to meet and take advice from them also they provides you funding you are working on any projects. But at the time of submission and viva you will be literally tortured if your attendance is very and you are an average student
