Jaypee - good or bad

The course curriculum is good for the electronics and communication department, the only thing I dislike is the focus on theory rather than practical, as practical is essential for electronics. The curriculum is somewhat okay for preparing us for the real world but it is not very up to the mark for the electronics department. The frequency and difficulty of the exams are good.

Students are eligible for placements from 7th sem. College offers MOOC courses for students in 4th year who are placed so that they can complete their degree. The companies visited till now are STM, Google, JTP, Delotiee, ION, etc. The placement is still going on but the highest package offered till now is 50 lakhs.

The fee structure is quite high, tuition and hostel fees should somewhat be reduced as it leaves a dent in the middle-class pocket. The complete cost of the course is around 21-22 lakhs which is quite high. The campus placement is quite good in software background but low in electronics background as fewer electronics companies visit the campus.

The overall campus life is good considering the various extracurricular hubs at JIIT. Jiit provides a good social interaction experience through hubs and college's annual fest "Impressions". The technical fests celebrated at JIIT are Zenith and Techblocks of IEEE, annual Ucr event, etc. The library is also good having ample amount of books for study and other purposes.

The hostel is good with ac, 2 tables, 2 chairs, 2 beds, 2 almirahs for each room. The only bad thing is the absence of a night canteen. The meal quality is good and the registration process of the hostel is easy. The hostel is quite expensive with its fees of 1,00,000 for each sem for a student.

The admission process was quite easy considering I applied for the college in the time. So all the counselling was done in virtual mode through mail. I was given admission based on my 12th percentile. If you want to be admitted to JIIT based on the 12th mark's, make sure you have above 90%.

The faculty of JIIT is quite good. Most of the faculty is quite helpful and always hope for the best for their students. The faculty to student ration is 1:30 and it is good considering the study is good. The faculty mostly consists of PHDs and have good teaching experience. Most of the teachers are quite approachable and friendly.
