Likes
- The environment is very clean, soothing and peaceful which makes it the best place for studies.
- There’s a big lake with lots of fish, and even ducks. when there’s any leisure time anyone can go and feed the stray dogs or the fishes in the lake and even the ducks
- The security guards are always ready to help you. The roads inside the campus are very clean and safe for everyone who drives
Dislikes
- Poor infrastructure, especially the toilets
- Some Non teaching staffs are very rude towards students
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is designed well but not excellent enough compared to other central universities. However, on a scale, it's definitely a little above average. If I could, I would rate a 3.5 stars out of 5. The curriculum also provides the students with job opportunities in the real world from apprenticeships to real jobs. However, the teaching method is quite conventional
Fees and Financial Aid
The first application fee costs 850 for the unreserved category and 250 for the reserved, ST, SC, OBC, PWDs. The Admission cost is around 10,000. And yearly fees are only 5000 each for two years which is fairly affordable for all students. The only con is the way of payment, the online payment option works only through Internet banking and no other options.
Campus Life
The campus is huge with lots of greeneries, fruit trees, and flowers, which makes it very aesthetic. There are many co-curricular activities ranging from varsity week, cultural week, DJ nights, prom, and many more. The university also has various student organizations that offer help to many students and parents.
Admission
Anyone who scores above 50 is eligible. But there are reservations for ST/SC, EWS, OBC, and PWDs so for the unreserved category it's tough competition. Moreover, there is reservations even for ex-servicemen and servicemen. The course always gets shortened and exams are held in haste which is why it's very hard to score high marks in NEHU. If the reservation system gets revised and the application fee is made equal for everyone regardless of category, that would be the best improvement from NEHU
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio was proportional for my department. Almost all the faculty members are very kind and helpful. Some are more understanding than the students themselves, which makes them even greater friends than the students. The faculty members also gives the students treats and compliments on presentation days as well
