University course specific exam ,Wanted to get good knowledge .Central university having good faculty and resource(Library,Labs).Main point i liked is diversity of students (50 departments),which will give you knowledge of every relative course.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is very good.I am integrated Chemistry student (5 years course). We have maths and statics and chemiistry, course which is great combination. Every semester we have optional subject (too many options).
Internships Opportunities
Yes ,But we did not opt for paid company internship. We always choose research oriented .On clearing of all subject for each semester we have respected scholar ship in depended of cast or any thing( You can imagine how tough to clear all papers). I am general and i have received scholarship.Mostly poor people with rich knowledge ,University is a good choice too.
Placement Experience
out of 150 people,only 110 are interested to participate for jobs.Nearly 90 people got placed .We got nearly 8 companies.list goes Cognizant ( 3LPA),Patni computers(3.3 LPA,I got placed),Accenture(3 LPA), HCL (3LPA),Honeywell (4.3 LPA), Tata Consultancy service (not sure). We are not eligible to participate for other company once if your placed.
College Events
We do have technical fest cum alumnus meet(recursion),People from Pondicherry colleges ,Tamilnaadu and Andhrapradesh participate .We have it for 3 days.Last day is our alumnus(i missed it every time). This is part of computer science departement. As i told university have lot of department and with different events.
Campus Life
Campus life is awesome. Gender ratio was 6:4(men,women). All departments conduct workshop on respected specialisation by experts. We have diversified cultures as student from all the states are present in campus.
Hostel Facilities
When we were hostel room big enough of 400 square feet. Two people used to share rooms.We have all facilities like indivdual bed and cupboards and reading table with chair .We have facility of good showers and hot water too.
Exam Structure
We have frequent exams .All scores are part of your career including your presentation and assignment .
Faculty
Most of the faculty are very good,only few faculty(All doctorates) came through reservation screwing peoples life as it CGPA(cumulative grading system) and they verify all exams and tests. So they can give good grades to useless students. Obviously knowledge is important.
