Course Curriculum Overview
As I'm pursuing Bachelor's of Computer Application(BCA) this course is all about computing knowledge, coding, programming and maths. In the first semester they make us learn C Progaramming, Computer Fundamentals and Mathematics. The subject Mathematics will be there only for 2 Semesters and becomes quiet necessitated for pursuing a computing background so it's good that even students who did not have Math Background and wants to pursue Technical course BCA becomes welcoming. The Professors in KC Das have good knowledge about these but the explanation method could be better. There are no placements or interships for BCA in this college. But there might be some seminars or some organised course so it depends.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for BCA For the people who are from inside Assam is Rs.32,940(yearly/for 2 semesters) And for the people who are from outside Assam is Rs.42,020(yearly/for 2 semesters) Registration Fees Rs.430 And Rs.500 will taken on the admission day for VAC course The fees is Non Refundable as BCA is a Self Sustainable/Self Financed Course
Campus Life
Overall the campus is fine and nice. The surrounding is quiet clean. There are many programs and functions held in the college like College Week, Cultural Programs, Elections, Seminars and so forth. The classrooms are average they could be better. There is a Association like NCC is provided in KCDCC, people who are interested may join this association.
Admission
To Take Admissions in K.C Das Commerce College for Bachelors of Computer Application you need to have a good percentage from any Background(Science, Commerce, Arts, Vocational). There are reservations seats too, so if you are from ST, SC, EWS etc., you should not miss the chance of applying for the reservation seats The cut offs are probably 90-70% depends on various courses and years and results The admission process started from the registration in Samarth Admission Portal of Assam State Higher Education. There we could apply for various courses and colleges and that's how you can apply in KC Das. There were different whatsapp groups where the seniors help and assisted with process. Since it was our first time it would be better if we could get better assistance and guidance for the process other than that the admission process was quiet fine.
Faculty
The Teachers/Professors are Friendly and are motivating...They try to help students and are approachable too..They also are highly qualified and teach lessons quiet well. The Head of Department is also friendly and has good knowledge about his subjects and helpful too for the students.
