Entrance Preview
I have taken JEE(mains(267/360) and advanced),BIT-SAT (354/420),EAMCET-AP (state rank-332),VIT(All india-1900). But I have opted this college because my dream is to get into such a famous and prestigious institute of india. In JEE my rank was all india 1798.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure here is very good,flexible.We have a very big library with lot of resources and a huge computer centre providing the best facilities for students.We have lot of fun, along with the academics. We have our own course websites,generally professors collect the information and send us via emails.
Internships Opportunities
No,there are no internships in our college. But we have internship season where lot of colleges from outside come here and recruit the students as their interns for summers.Generally 3rd year students are given more preference.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities are very good. We do have placement season during our 7th semester. There are many opportunities for the students in the core area non core area and finance ,etc,. And few companies even offer PPO's for the students who did interns in their companies .
College Events
During the first half of the year of study we have cultural fest (antaragni),and during next half we have technical fest(techkriti). We have lot of fun during our fests. Many innovative things, EDM's, special performances by various colleges. We have lot of other famous personalities visiting during the fest for talks.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers MCM (merit cum means scholarship) for the students having minimum CGPA of 6 and their parental income should be below 6 lakhs.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is very low. it is almost 1:17, in our college as per my knowledge. The campus life is very good. Great atmosphere but the academics at IIT kanpur is a bit challenging.
Exam Structure
The exam pattern here is mostly subjective.few other courses like biology,etc, may have objective pattern based upon the professor. We have two semesters for a coure one mid-sem and one end-sem. In between we do have many quizes for weekly estimation of students perfomance.
Faculty
The professors here are very friendly in nature.We generally never hesitate to talk to them. Most of them have regular office hours for students to meet them.No one of them will scold you in answering our questions. They are always in touch with students.
